    Flash Gordon

It's so bad it's good. And it's my ultimate guilty pleasure movie. For a while, TMC or SHO or one of those channels was showing the movie almost every night. And almost every night I would get an "Ugh. Again? REALLY?" from my wife.

How could I forget this gem??

A lot of you guys are mentioning movies that were well reviewed.

A Fish Called Wanda scored 93% on Rottentomatoes
Point Break was 68% but still fresh.

I want you to dig deep. Only something under 50%

Man on Fire with Denzel. 39%, I loved it.

Thx Dark...I *will* dig deeper...never read reviews...never HEARD of it...but a Fish Called Wanda was a sleeper for me...went to see it with my family soooo long ago :) Thx!

I just saw this a couple of nights ago. It seemed so corny, but I really enjoyed it.

Because Academy Award winning movies are considered bad?

Kevin Coster in Water World , and The Post Man. Critics trashed these multi million dollar bombs but they are two of my favorites.

    I loved Water World, too!

All right. If this is the criteria ...

Elektra with Jennifer Garner. 10%. I own and love it. In fact, I want to watch it right now.

Not quite under the 50% rating, but close - Dune. And...Children of Dune.

I'm also going to raise you 'Buffy'.

I don't know how many times I quoted
You threw a knife at my head!
    And you caught it.
But you THREW. A. KNIFE. AT. MY. HEAD.

That and real genius. But Real Genius is a fabulous movie and everyone should watch it.

I also love Hackers, Starship Troopers, Empire Records, Willow, Point Break (Have you ever fired your gun up in the air and gone "ahhrgh"), Center Stage (or really, any dance movie),

Has to be one that I bet hardly anyone here has ever heard of, let alone seen.

    'The Pirate Movie'.

    Love that movie!

So far, I've seen people list....

    Big Trouble in Little China
    Blazing Saddles
    A Fish Called Wanda

These are far from "Bad Movies". These are classics.

Highlander is by far my favorite 'bad movie'. It has become a cult classic, but when it came out, it had more cheese than Wisconsin.

Necessary Roughness is probably the worst rated movie on Rotten Tomatoes that I love.

Way, way back when I was a kid and we first got a VCR my parents would take me to the video store (not even Blockbuster, but a local place) and I remember seeing this one on the shelves. I never watched it, but the nostalgia is overwhelming. lol

I'm sure I have one, I just can't ever think of these.

And I have to say some of you don't know what "bad movie" means ... Some of these are actually very good movies -- critically AND in the "real world," they are loved.

I have never met a single person who has seen that movie and didn't love it. So, I'm thinking you can't call it "bad."

the definition should be "cheesy" rather than bad.

I don't know. I don't even find it cheesy. It's just funny. Cheesy, to me, is a movie that is supposed to be taken seriously but you just can't because it's awful. Or a movie like Porky's. Real Genius is just funny.

And it scores high with critics AND audiences.
