What do people drink in the evenings?

Options
Hi,

I just wondered what people drink in the evenings?

I'm trying to cut back on diet coke and alcohol but cant really think of anything to substitute it with that's MFP friendly?

The only thing I have some times is alcohol free beer or fruit tea.

Any advice would be great - thank s :-)

I tend to drink sugar-free squash (cordial? in the US?) or water. I also don't tend to drink anything after about 9.30 as I don't want to be up constantly through the night. Either that or a nice cup of decaf tea with skimmed milk or lemon juice (wow, sound boring). I am unable to drink alcohol at the moment partly due to being in the first fortnight of South Beach but also because it causes Gallbladder flareups and I seriously have enough of those already.

I LOVE Yogi classic tea - it's basically ginger, cinnamon, cloves etc. Really spicy but oh so good on a rainy day.

Also, when I decide I want mulled wine, this is a good alternative for winter.

What is MFP friendly? You can drink anything so long as it fits into your allowance.

I make up a big batch of Bengal Spice herbal tea ( a slightly sweet cinnamony flavor) in the morning (1 teabag and a few oz of hot water per 16 oz glass bottle) and then during the day, just add water (either hot, cold or out of the tap) to fill the bottle! My other drink is kombucha, a low calorie, slightly fizzy drink with B vitamins, etc, which I make at home, but is available commercially.....google for benefits! :drinker:

This is true, but I would rather spend calories on food than drinks :-)

Drink water like it's your second job. When the lack of flavor starts to get to you add a slice or two of lime.

Additionally I keep 2 soda bottles on my desk. One is a half drank pepsi with a note reminding me that soda tastes awful.
The other is an un-opened coke bottle with a lot of tape over the cap and a note reminding me I can't buy a new soda when I already have one, and that soda is not worth working through an inch of packing tape.
    So whatever works...
