I fell of the wagon!

Hi all!
For 4 weeks solid, I've been a very good girl. I've been doing T25 five days a week, clean eating and adhering to a healthy calorie deficit for my weight/height of 1200 calories a day (often being 100 cals under but being full). I've only touched two bars of chocolate and a couple of very small alcoholic drinks in 4 weeks.. everything else has been super healthy.... until last night when I went on a girls night and all rules just departed my consciousness. I've calculated on MFP that in just one evening I consumed well over 2000 calories!!!
Can anyone tell me the best thing to do to counter act the damage? Just eat as normal and maybe add a couple of extra workouts in, or do a detox week...or Shaun T's Quick Start? Quite upset with myself has I was really on track to hit my goal weight in 5 weeks time. I know we all fall off the wagon but any words of wisdom from those safely back on it, would be amazing.

Here's what you can do:
Forget about it and go back to your goals. One night won't ruin a streak. Even the best of us sometimes have a bad day and screw up. Stop feeling guilty, stay the course and learn from the experience. A mistake is only a mistake if you don't learn from it.0 -
According to your profile you only have around 5 pounds to lose. So my guess is 1200 calories is far to aggressive a calorie count. It will be slow with the amount you have to lose you should set your mfp goals to .5 pound a week. the idea should be to eat as much as you can and still lose weight.
Over restricting calories is where people fail. You also need patience and realistic goals. You can't undo what is done so move forward have a look at the link which will give you a great sustainable guide and good luck

Thanks guys! Love your attitude Matt... and _Zardoz_ that's really helpful thank you. I was given that calorie intake suggestion by two different calculators (using my height and starting weight) but maybe I need to revisit it. I'm not finding the deficit a struggle at all though and there were days last week where I was under the goal but was stuffed full. Amazed me. I'm not really the dieting kind. Have never and doubt I will ever follow a fad diet as I think those set you up to fail. I've just decided to plan my meals and/or watch what I eat as over the past 2 years my weight has been creeping up (112lbs to 120lbs), so wanted to become a little more conscious of what I was doing wrong. Hence MFP The deficit route seems nicely sustainable to me. I love food too much to say "I'm only eating cabbage/grapefruit/sawdust." I'd like to have everything in moderation. Thanks for the link, I'll read that properly when I'm not so hungover....
Thanks again guys!0 -
