Weekend Eating/Drinking

Hi everyone!
I just have a question about the weekend. I used to do weight watcher a few years ago and still found success even after a weekend of drinking and eating things that I wouldn't eat on weekdays (I would save up my "weekly" points to use on the weekend).
I'm not on weight watchers anymore and just following the calorie goals that are set on this website and i'm wondering if there's any thing like "weekly" calories that one can cache?
I have no problem exercising and eating well on weekdays, as i have a strict routine. But on weekends, as a 22 year old I like to go out and party and sometimes eat poorly (I can't seem to give up eggs benedict!)
Any suggestions on keeping it in control over the weekend? Or if anyone has figured out the same kind of higher calorie goal for weekends as weight watchers with their weekly extra points?
Thanks for any suggestions!

I just limit how much I drink, I still workout on the weekend and when it comes to food, I treat myself but I try not to go overboard!0

I have the same problem and am far from 22 : )
I think one thing that might help is do a little extra excercise over the week and don't eat those calories. You might go over in calories on the weekend but it should even out. OR increase excercise on the weekend.0 -
Hm, I should try and get to the gym on weekends, but usually I am hungover hahaha. Yeah, I need to figure out an eating schedule for the weekend. The only way I seem to succeed is if I have a schedule going..0

Now this doesn't work for everyone but I had success with eating very low cal throughout the week and saving cals for the weekend. I consistently lost 2 lbs/wk eating 1200 cals+exercise cals during the week and doing whatever on the weekends.0

Pick one day of the weekend to be a cheat day. Then also I look at the weekly numbers. I think it's about you and what's going to work for you. If you play on the weekend and still do well during the week then it should even out. You're 22 and should have fun with your friends etc.
Do what you want and what works for you.0 -
I normally don't log weekends, but since I have been on a drinking haitus for January I have been logging everything. To my surprise I really don't eat bad on weekends. So come Feb I plan on banking a few extra cal's during the week for the weekend cocktails and keep up my normal eating habits. As far as eggs bennie goes (my fav!) I order it with the sauce on the side and dip my fork into it with each bite. It's amazing how much is left when I'm done and I still feel satisfied. *Yummmmmmm.... *0

I"m the exact same way. I can be completely error-free during the workweek but when I'm not sitting on front of a computer all day, I tend to want to eat more.
I've always been told that calories couldn't really be rolled over day to day, but if you leave leftover calories over the week I'd think it'd balance itself out.
I'm not one to give up my alcohol on the weekends because of my diet either. My tip would be to stop drinking (or switch to water for a while then switch back) when you feel you're nearing the point where you're justifying eating whatever you want. When I go out, I usually end up at the IHOP next to my favorite bar and I've learned that if I don't let myself get to the point where I'll "let loose" and eat whatever I want, then I find I have the resolve to make better meal selections when out at 2am. If you're drinking a lot of your calories you have to make it up somewhere, and the best is to not go overboard with the late night meals that often come with late night drinking.0 -

I have had some success doing the same: staying fairly clean during the week and relaxing a bit on weekends. I also like the concept of "splurge meals."
My preference thought now is to do either or...either I drink and eat clean, or splurge on meals and not drink. I still try to keep everything in check though...I don't believe you can "save" your calories. Too much is still too much.0 -

Your body needs x amount of calories on any given day...any less and you lose weight and any excess you will gain.0 -
Oh Eggs Benny, how I love you so . . .
Get the hollandaise on the side and dip your fork in, then take your bite.
Now I want eggs benedict for lunch . . .0 -

I'm not 22 anymore but this is still so me! I am doing a workout DVD (Jillian's 30 day shred) and find it's easy to get that done. It's only 25 minutes and it's feasible to do hungover. I did it last Saturday morning and I'm pretty sure I was still drunk (don't judge). I got my workout in and it helped stave off the hangover. I'd say do whatever workout you can muster on the weekends and try to be reasonable when you're in a reasonable state of mind.0 -
hm a workout DVD might be a good plan for weekends. Hmm, good advice guys, I'll definitely take your advice about the hollandise sauce on the side! we'll see how this weekend plays out! Thanks so much!0

Not at all a professional opinion, but I don't suggest eating after drinking. My ex was a weight/conditioning coach and knew a lot about nutrition and this was his explanation to me. Alcohol is pretty hard for the body to deal with, so during and after drinking, it is working to rid the body of it. When you put food in your system as well, the body doesn't really know what to do with it, so it sets it aside and is stored for later. If you're hungover and don't work off those extra cals you can pretty much guess what they are going to be stored as.
Also, my weekends used to be pretty bad until i started making bigger meals on later weekdays (Thursday and Friday) and saving the leftovers for the weekend. That way I don't have to cook and I already know what I'm going to eat. It helps out a lot since I go to my parents house pretty much every weekend and they have really crappy food there.0 -

That is the only way I eat my EGGSB now...normally it comes swimming in hollandaise. I get it on the side and lmit myselt to 2 TBSP (tbsp over each egg). On average 2 Eggs B and home fries/hash browns still comes out to about 750 cals...so it's a pretty hefty breakfast! I'm not a fan of skipping meals, but if I know I'm eating a breakfast like that I'll usually eat a little later in the morning, skip my early snack and lunch, have a bigger than usual snack in the afternoon, and normal dinner. I'm not hungry anyway and I still keep my calories in check.0
