I didnt have time to bring something to work & have nothing to eat a thome because I haven't gone grocery shopping. Any adice on healthy alternatives to fast food I can take home to eat during my lunch? I was thinking Subway?

  • Subway would probably be your safest bet. Just watch the cheese and dressings - those calories can add up quickly.

The Subway next to my place started to post the calories on the menu, and I got a little scared. My precious tuna was one of the worst!

If you have carls jr try the charbroiled chicken sandwich with a side salad. The sandwich is only 300 calories, chicken breast, BBQ sauce, lettuce and tomato on a wheat bun. Make sure you don't accidentally order the charbroiled chicken club :) it's more than twice the calories

You shouldn't eat tuna anyway. It's full of mercury, which gets stored in the brain. Plus, if it comes from a can it's got tons of BPA.

You must have a grocery store close to your work. Even if you go to the counter where all the pre made stuff (snack/cafe corner) is and grab a small veggie tray and yogurt, or fruit tray and yogurt or cup of soup. I'm sure you could run in and pick it up just as quick as going to a fast food dive. My local grocery store even offers wraps.

Subway posts its nutritional information online if you want to look up some sandwiches before you go. The sodium is what you'll really need to look out for!

Thank you all!! :) I actually didn't get to read any of these until I got back - but I will def jot some of your ideas down.
I ended up going to el pollo loco & getting their "light menu" of skinless chicken & steamed veggies! :)
