I'm just curious how often everyone weighs in? I think I was doing this too often and was getting discouraged.

Like 10x a day... no joke.0

I'm trying to do it once a week but I keep jumping on every day- I can't help myself!!0

I try to limit myself to once a week...I don't own a scale, either. I weigh in at my school in the gym. I guess I'll need to purchase a scale for the summer, though.... :happy:0

Usually every 4 weeks.0

Everytime I would try to diet before this, I would weigh in everyday. But I became really discouraged. So, this time, I decided to weigh in on the 15th and last day of the month. I started mfp on jan 3rd, and weighed in on the 15th. And in 12 days I had lost 9 pounds. It made such a huge difference. I am more motivated to keep up the calorie tracking and excercise doing it this way.0

I weigh myself about 2 or 3 times a week, but only record it once a week.0

I weigh myself nearly every day but I only track it once a week. Every day I don't log it in is just motivation to keep my butt moving!0

Every Tuesday morning before i eat or drink anything0

I am the same.. at work I jump on the scale we have but I do my "Weigh In" on Mondays.0
-
Daily...although I only record it on Monday mornings as soon as I wake up.0

I used to hop on the scale at least every day, if not twice a day. That was a point of stress for me watching my weight go up during the day and was pretty discouraging. Now I try to check my weight once per week. That way, even if I lose only one pound, I can see that the number went down. At least for me, that helps.0

Monday is my weigh in day :-) so I officialy record them, but I hop on a few mornings a week for 'a look' :-)0

Every morning on my own scale. If it's more than a 2-3 lbs difference I watch what I eat till I'm back at where it should be, or less It's a way to keep myself in check.0

I think I was weighing myself almost everyday, and was getting way to discouraged w/ myself and would then go off track. When I didn't see a difference I would get really mad.
So I like the idea of setting a date of each month and weighing in, I think I will have to do that. Thanks everyone!0 -
Like 10x a day... no joke.
why? we have normal daily fluctuation that cause us to usually weigh more throughout the day due to ingesting food and fluid.0 -
i try to every morning after peeing and before eating. sometimes i just can't face it and go without a day or two.0

Weighing in more than once a week messes with my head and I get down if I see a gain of any sort even if it is just ounces and propbably water, so I weigh in every Monday, it helps keep me accountable over the weekend!0

I used to weigh once a week, but it was causing me to get very discouraged. Now I am starting to weigh once a month. My next weigh in will be the 12th of February, so hopefully I will see much bigger #'s then!0

use to be every 2 weeks. But since i started lifting i cant go by my weight. i have to measure.0

Every day and I only keep the lowest weight in that week.
If the scale goes up then I work harder to get back to the old weight.
If it goes down.. I would go so happy and proud of my weight loss so I stick to my diet.
I don't weight myself when it's time of the month.
Actually 1 week before that time of the month since I know the scale is not far from accurate.0 -
I weigh myself every day, but record it once per week.
I do it on Saturdays so that when it posts to my FB page a higher number of friends see my progress!0 -
I weigh and record every day. seeing the number motivates me and seeing the number of pounds lost makes me want to work harder to keep them off. if I don't weigh myself often i talk myself out of excercising and in to eating poorly0

I weigh myself 3 times a week. Moday to see if I did any damage over the weekend, Wednesday just for curiosity and Friday to see if I have accomplished anything. I only update my weight when there is a change that lasts more than a week. Being a female our weight fluctuates so much its rediculous! lol.0

well duh.. but it works for me and thats all that matters0 -
I weigh myself daily and log/record my weight weekly on Monday night.0

I weigh myself at my work's gym after I work out each time (I work out on every lunch break, so 5x per week). sometimes I weigh myself at home but my scale isn't as accurate so I kinda take that figure with a grain of salt.0

They were just asking your reasoning behind it. No need to be a jerk.0 -
I usually weigh myself each morning before eating or drinking, but I only count it on friday mornings.0

I know that it is not recommended, but I weight myself every morning. I can tell when there are some foods, that for some reason, make a difference in my weight loss. I like to know what those are before I continue with them in my diet. However, when I was with weight watcher's, things I ate on Monday would show up on Wednesday or later. If we follow the program, the weight will come off. I truly believe that.0
