I'm in. I rarely ever drink so this will be a breeze.0

I don't think I could stop entirely, either - well, I don't WANT to, it's a choice - but I could certainly cut back. When I do drink my average is usually 3 pints of beer, I'd like that average to be 1 pint, I think cutting that back in itself would make a huge difference. So while I upfront know it won't be an entire two weeks, I'd like to use this challenge as a reminder/helper to implement some moderation...0

I started this a week ago I have am 11 days in and I kinda feel better for it. I don't drink a lot but with it being summer every weekend I am drinking Friday and Saturday and I felt like it was effecting my energy. Also I binge eat while drinking and the day after I do the same. So I decide to quit for a bit I still have fun without it but man Sommerby's are sooooo gooooddd0

I just recently quit. It was totally messing up my focus. I am down 50 pounds since I started no drinking on June 20th. It really has given me the ability to stay on my program. I don't find myself making a pound of pasta 1:30am covered in some sort of cheese. That is always helpful.

50lbs in 2 months?
Seeing as your ticker says 4lbs lost and 51lbs to go, I call BS.
To those doing this challenge, good luck.
I haven't drank alcohol since 21 Dec 2011.
And have only consumed it in food at restaurants.
In my opinion, I find it to be a pointless hobby. But I know others who like the taste of alcohol and find it relaxing. I'm not one of them lol - it tastes kinda yucky IMO0 -
After downing a 3Liter box of wine last night, I'm gonna do this.0

My challnge would be to never drink again!0

Mon dieu, c'est impossible d'habiter en France et de ne pas boire le vin! Bonne chance! ;-)0 -
Oh. Well I havnt had any alcohol in three months.0

No beer or wine last night with dinner, didn't miss it :-) Day two today!
Same here (wine), day 2, which is a pretty big deal considering how much I've been drinking lately. I already have my first drink day marked on my calendar, lol!0 -
I just downloaded the my fitness pal app a few days ago (which has helped me be more mindful of what I'm ingesting), but I stopped drinking mid-June of this year.... along with smaller portions and exercise I have lost 20 lbs! Keep it up, it pays off

U can count me in:) ....0

Well, maybe I should just go for the whole cutting back to just an occasional drink here and there, cause my willpower sucked last night! Got home after a super long and tiring day and simply said to hell with it......had most of a lite beer and feel a little guilty, but not off the charts guilty.
I have found over the past several weeks that I can do without the buzz from alcohol, but, like chocolate, sometimes it just tastes good. So, I'm riding the fence here.....from a health standpoint, a woman can safely have one drink per day and men can have two without huge detrimental health effects. I think the problem comes when one turns into six which I've never had a huge problem with. Any thoughts out there?0 -
Ok so today is day 1 for me. I had an open bottle in the fridge so had to finish that first!!
It's carnival on Monday so that may have to be a day off for me!!0 -
            I'll try till Labor Day.0

That's my downfall as well, after 4 pints the munchies start and I can eat a fair amount!.
2 pints for me is a happy medium.
Anyway, 3rd dry night for me; just had a cup of tea instead..0 -
On day 5 now. Already had two offers for wine for Friday night, sooo hard to resist!!!0

Im in. I have occasional wine on my cheat meal on Saturdays. Alcohol was my problem initially....two weeks shouldn't be that bad.
Good luck everyone!

Tomorrow will be 14 days for me. I really have no desire to drink. I am sure once labor day weekend comes I might be ready to have something haha. I cant say im going to quit drinking all together but I am really going to try to reduce how often I drink and the amount I drink.0

Hit my 2 weeks today. Still no desire for a drink0
