What a topic! Deep fried ANYTHING should be taboo.... but I had about ten (way too good for my good). Now, I have no idea how many calories to write down. Anyone have a clue on Deep Fried Peanuts (you pop the whole thing in your mouth - shell and all)?

Never heard of Deep-Fried Peanuts. Interesting. What I really wanted to know about at the fair this year was the Deep-Fried Pepsi. How in the heck do you deep fry Pepsi??? Nevermind, deep-fried twinkies - aren't they bad enough already?? However, the deep-fried cheesecake ALMOST got me!! :laugh:0

Yes Jackie - it is wrong!!! SO wrong. I've avoided it - but it is encroaching on my territory now. Oh, yes, lets not forget about deep fried snickers and milky ways. Let's see, what else have they dunked in the hot oil?? Scary, really scary. I wonder what Lorena Bobbitt would have done if she'd had access to a vat of boiling oil???? God - I'm in really bad space today LOL!0 -
Ive seen the commercials lately for Dairy Queen I think it is and their deep fried ice cream.. How on earth does that work?

Yeah - almost every decent mexican place - not fast food - would have deep fried icecream on their desert menu. The super freeze it and coat it with coconut or some other topping and drop it into the fryer just for a few seconds. It's really really good. Have to share though!

i'm Scottish,. we deep fry anything and everything..mars bars, pizza, already deep fried things. When i was at uni there was a fish and chip shop that would deep fry anything you want, we got a guy to eat his own shoe laces deep fried :laugh:0 -
Do you guys live in Minnesota with me? The state fair is going on and it has EVERYTHING DEEP FRIED ON A STICK!! One of my friends said they saw a sign for SOUP on a stick!!! How the heck does that work? I ate fried pickles - that was one my indulgence. Oddly enough its in the database already. Then I had grilled corn with no butter - soooo yummy. In the past I've had the deep fried Snicker's bar on a stick. Its like cake doughnut around warm snickers... :blushing: I actually came out even that day probably because we walked around for 3 HOURS!0

Try a state fair...... Minnesota state fair has almost anything deep fried !!!:drinker: :drinker: I think the people there have to store some fat for winter to stay warm.:laugh: Doubled deep fried candy bars... Not kidding fried twice:noway: You wonder why kids are getting chunky.0

deep fried avacadoes, deep fried jalapeno, fried pickles, corn fritters (deep fried cream style corn), deep fried snickers, here in S. Texas we deep fry EVERYTHING and we either dip it in gravy or ranch dressing. That's why we are on the top of the obese states list. Go figure!!!

That's one good thing about the North East, we don't really go crazy with the fryolator! That and you are guaranteed atleast 12 to 15 really good workouts shoveling snow (ouch, my achin back!)!0

I was just all over New England and I have to say I had so many good choices for food. Nice fresh fish and lobstah(ha).
I did notice a stick of butter was in every order-had to ask to delete the buttah.0 -
