I've always suffered from headaches at least a couple per week. My doctor has always says it's hereditry thing cos my mum and dad were the same at my age. But everytime I start to lose weight by exercise and healthy eating they increase to almost everyday. I would have thought they would have decreased. Could it be something I'm eating? I try drinking lots of water but I'm not sure if it helps.Does this happen to anyone else?

How much is lots of water? Sounds like your headaches are related to dehydration. Where on your head are the headaches (e.g. behind the eyes, temples, back of the head, etc.)

Probably not enough. Maybe a litre per day? When they say cups on here is that 250mls? Normally behind my eyes and temples. I had my eyes tested a year ago and I now have reading glasses. But it hasn't helped much.

Thats what it sounds like to me as well. I have to drink at least a bottle of water before I work out..... and during..... and after.... I used to get bad headaches during workouts and after. The water seemed to really help! Good luck!!

I took a peek at your food diary, I noticed you eat oranges? I used to get migrains several times a week, after going to a doc, and keeping a food diary, I found out I was 'allergic' to orange! They triggered my headaches. Even the smell turns into a headache. Just a thought, maybe worth looking in to?

I get them the same way. My eating (and drinking) beforehand were pretty bad though - I put the increase in headaches down to withdrawal. I used to drink lots of Coke and so I think I experienced caffeine and sugar withdrawals which caused the increased headaches. I had them for the first three days and now (at day 12) I've only had one since then. I'm drinking iced tea on the odd occasion so it's not 'cold turkey' and eating the odd piece (not the whole block!) of chocolate to ease the transition. I also am now watching the sodium (I used to have LOTS of that too) and drinking at least the 8 glasses of straight water as well as the iced tea etc. I am eating lots of fruit too...HUGE changes for me - Don't know if it helps you?!

Forgot to add - too much dairy causes problems for me too...

I have suffered from headaches/migraines for years and it took finally getting the right doctor. I went from an ENT to a nuerologist. I would suggest to watch for certain foods that trigger the headaches. I do know that dark chocolate triggers my headaches. Also if I don't eat and let myself get too hungry that will trigger a bad headache. I have learned over the years what is a normal and what is going to turn into a migraine for me.
