I am combining both P90x3 and Insanity workout. Its goung great. Is it me or Does Tony really sound like a snob in his workouts. Tony is funny and makes you break a sweat without even you knowing it, no doubts about that. On the other hand Shaunt T is great with motivating people and doesn't shy away from being human(just like anyone he would fall on the floor, lose breath and take a min to get his composure back) making anyone feel its okay to stop and not necessarily one has to be weak to take breaks. Love Shaun T!! Does anyone feel like that?
Cheers!

I also prefer Shaun T over Tony Horton.
On another note, I haven't done P90x3 but I have done Insanity. It is an intense workout on its own and I feel like it would be very difficult to keep up with both workouts. Just my two cents good luck!0 -

Oh Totally! Shaun T is great and yes both workouts are intense!! Doing Insanity lets you eat anything and you can still get away. I feel with P90x one need to watch what he eats!
Insanity is a great program. since i am doing it for the 2.5 time, I watch my knees on intense jumps, Avoid power jumps and alternate with squat jumps. It doesn't make a big difference with the results when you modify intense jumps when you alternate with equally tough but low impact moves. Last time, i strained my knees luckily i didn't injure myself.
The energy on insanity sets is infectious! at the end of the workout you are left feeling awesome!0 -
I'm sure it's a personal thing, but I agree. I couldn't get into P90x3 at all since I couldn't get past the desire to slap the crap out of Tony H. OTOH, I still enjoy going back to T25, mainly because of Shaun T's style.0

Oh, I have been wanting to try T25. How is T25 and the results? I want to check the Hip Hop abs also! You know some days you don't feel like workout and you have an alternative like a fun hip hop ab workout!
Cheers!0 -
Can anyone tell me how Hip Hop abs is?? someone who has tried it.
cheers!0 -
I'm doing a hybrid of P90x3 and T25 Gamma ...I do insanity vid on the wkds. I prefer Shaun T's style anytime over Tony Horton. I usually play music when I'm doing P90X3 and I'm so glad it's only 30 mins.
I have P90X and I actually never did it due to Tony's personality but I'm willing to give it a try since I'm focusing on strength training lately. Guess I'll crank up some music and mute him. lol0 -

T25 is a nice workout for when you don't have a lot of time -- it packs a lot into the 25 minutes. Not nearly as intense as Insanity or P90X, 'tho. Very little upper body strength training until the Gamma round. You can get an overall good toning from the exercises.
I've heard that HH Abs in a lot of fun, I've personally never tried it.0 -

lol at that.
I don't dislike Tony but i do perfer Shaun. He actually reminds me a bit of my HS swim coach.
i just love the way he organizes the videos and (for me) makes if feel like a practice for an athletic team.
if that aspect appeals to you, then you should definetly try Asylumn0 -

how were you results like. If you are in Gamma.you must have done Alpha and Beta. Did you see results??I'm doing a hybrid of P90x3 and T25 Gamma ...I do insanity vid on the wkds. Oh Yes, I play music with P90x3 workouts too. I like a lean tones look. With only P90x3 i felt i was bulking up a bit. not that i went out of shape but just i didn't look a lot leaner as i would have wanted.0 -

I did. It was my first workout after years of not moving. It is totally different than Insanity. In HHA Shaun T is cheesy and sweet and very motivating. I liked it very much Now it is too easy for me and because of that kind of boring.
I also finished Rockin' Body. Much better. Higher impact, not that easy and also a lot of fun. Loved it so much! (I love to dance and hate tyrant trainers)
But I guess it is still easier than Insanity. You could use it as a fun workout on the side But keep in mind some people don't like Shaun as cheesy as he is in those workouts. I suggest you to look at videos at youtube and see if it works for you.0 -
T25 is a great program for 25 mins. Of course it's no insanity but can suffice for a short workout. I didn't really need to lose much weight but just do it to incorporate some exercise and Gamma is really where they focus more on upper body ... my puny arms. lol
I didn't bulk up with P90X3 at all as I prefer the lean strong look myself. Everyone's body is different I guess.0 -
I have Hip Hop Abs, Rockin Body, and T25. Shaun T is definitely cheesy in Hip Hop Abs and Rockin Body. I would find myself cracking up big time in Rockin Body because he would use a sing song voice as he is walking you through the moves. It's hilarious. I didn't enjoy Hip Hop Abs. I did enjoy Rockin Body. I am on T25 Beta right now (which I like a lot better than Alpha). As far as results go, if you are an advanced exerciser, HHA and RB are not going to feel advanced to you. When I was doing Rockin Body, I felt like it was a medium intensity aerobic workout. It might be something to try if you want to change it up. And, it is fun.
On T25, during the alpha phase and first week of the beta phase, I did not lose any weight or inches. Of course, I also was not counting my calories either. This week, I have started counting my calories, and I am starting to see some results.0 -

insanity is like a lot of 'small' moves that pretty much any average person can perform once.
Asylumn has some moves in it that the average person will not be able to perform even after completing it a few times.
personally, i don't get the same kind of super high heart rates in Asylum that i do in Insanity. I'd say this is mostly because the exercises require more coordination. You'd probably fall down before you could really reach the same break neck heart beats you do in Insanity. On the other, hand, there are parts of Asylum that will get you to that place as well.
i just like it better because its more varied (jump rope and agility ladder, dumbells, pull ups) and you feel like your building your athletecism, more so then just losing weight and building cardiovascular fitness0 -

Oh..i checked out HIP HOP ABS videos on youtube and its no fun considering its not intense and yea i perfer Shuan T as a military sergeant to a cheesy hip hop dance teacher!0
