Everyone should see a doctor when beginning their weight loss journey. He will be able to tell you what sort of foods you should be eating and what a good goal weight would be.

You can start keeping track of what you do now, using the my Fitness Pal stuff. Take your food diary, exercise log and weight chart with you when you go, in case you have questions about anything.

You can totally do this. There is nothing special about anyone else who lost weight. You're as good as any of them, maybe better.

What would you NOT go to the doctor for, just curious?

Could it be a thyroid issue?

How tall are you and what is your current weight?

What is your current calorie goal set up for?

Do you measure or weigh out your food?

Could you open up your diary? How long have you been logging and have you been consistent with logging everything during that time?

You're gonna have to provide more info...

    Height, weight, age?
How much are you trying to lose?
Are you logging your food consistently?
Are you weighing solid food on a scale? Liquids with cups?
Are you exercising? How are you estimating burns?
    Care to open your diary?

I think for many people, the key to weight loss is honestly. I don't know enough about what you are or aren't doing, so it's hard to give suggestions at this point. But as others have said, weighing/measuring your food and honestly recording them, as well as accurately recording your exercise/burns is really important in this process. If you're doing those things, staying within your calorie counts/maintaining a deficit and still not seeing progress, then there might be something else going on. But the more information about yourself and your goals you're willing to share here, the better we can help you. Best of luck.

calories in is not less than calories out. That the most simple answer to give you. Which goes to another question There is no way you are logging if you cannot seem to lose weight at all.

Well start logging accurately - weigh your food, track everything you eat. Get some movement. If done right you should start seeing results.
