Hot Yoga

Hey!!

Has anyone tried Hot Yoga (or Bikram Yoga)???

Not necessarily for weight loss, but more for being able to keep my body limber and flexible (like the good 'ol days!).

Would love to hear feedback and experiences!!!!

    I love hot yoga. I really enjoy regular yoga as well, though. The heat enables you to get into positions you wouldn't normally be able to get into. It feels wonderful too. It can be expensive if you go to a yoga studio, but the difference is worth it. The yoga studio near my house moved further away from me (and it was already a long drive) so I checked out different places. Most were gyms and it wasn't nearly hot enough. I got really spoiled by the yoga studio.

    It's ok, but just unpleasant. You don't need to be in an oven to enjoy good yoga, but give it a try. If you like it, it's perfect for you.

    If you don't like it, then it isn't.

    If you haven't done yoga before I would recommend doing a few classes first just so you understand the flow of things.

    I did really enjoy Bikram yoga, it burnt a lot of calories that's for sure! You do become more flexible in the heat and i certainly felt like I had a good stretch after each class. Having said that, I only did a handful of classes and it isn't something I would do regularly, I just couldn't deal with the heat after a while.

    I used to do a lot of BY. It led to a back injury for me, so I wish I hadn't now.
