Diabetes, counting carbs and calories

Hi, I am new, again.I am diabetic, with a few other health issues, and have decided it is time to take control of my health. I joined months ago, well actually signed up, let the site sit, I sat and gained 11 more pounds. Been Seriously working out, 4X15 minutes on the elliptical and keeping calorie intake at about 1200. Whew, I never new it would be this hard. So far lost just over 3 lbs in just over a week. Not sure if my ticker is working or accurate as I added it after adding my weight loss.

3 lbs in a week is a god start. I lost my first 40 by walking alone. You may find 1200 calories to be a little low, but I'm not sure how tall you are. Add me if you are looking for friends!

I am five foot nine. When I put in the info that was the calories it came up with. I am just learning about calories and how hard it is to work them off. I was thinking ok, so if I eat a huge piece of cake just have to go on the elliptical for a bit, oh no, that bit would be hours and something I cannot do, lol.

Hello. I am a diabetic too. Need to lose some 50 pounds. I am 42 yrs old and is a bit hard. Once you get into the swing of things it does get better. I lost 25 pounds and exercised 5x a week. Now I need to lose 46 more. Add me and we can do this together!

For me 1200 was low. My issue is food. I do 80/20 and I feel like I am ok. Moderation is key. Lately my exercise mojo has been lost, so I am working on getting it back!
