Healthiest food of all: green leafy vegetables! For convenience, buy some organic, boxed pre-washed baby spinach, or baby kale, or a mix of baby spinach, baby kale and baby swiss chard. Superstore has them. Eat raw (in smoothies or salads).0

High fibre - lentils and chickpeas and other beans - all usually dried though canned for rush jobs. I don't like kidney beans. They are my least favourite. How do you cook yours? I buy borlotti for mexican.
Only full cream dairy. I don't believe in low fat. I've been persuaded by the low carb scientists etc that fat is not the enemy. In fact low fat could be an enemy since its usually replaced by a lot of sugar and also it might increase cholesterol since dietary cholesterol doesn't cause high cholesterol per se.
olive oil extra virgin cold pressed
nuts and seeds
oats. i've hardly any room for bread in my food situation.
all the usual fruit and veg, raw frozen fish, canned sardines, eggs,
nice cheeses
cooking flavours: capers, gherkins, fetta cheese, walnuts, fish sauce, coconut cream, spices and dried herbs, balsamic vinegar from modena, wine,
dried figs and medjool dates
