Next time I make it, I think I'm going to add some apples & raisins to the filling.

Glad you all like it, friends asked for the recipe so had to share.

    Adapted from this http://www.goodshomedesign.com/braided-nutella-bread/

    1ju7fo.jpg

    For the dough

2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
    1 teaspoon of yeast
    1 cup of water
    1 teaspoon of salt
    1 tablespoon of sugar

    Filling:
    3 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon cinnamon (you can add more)
    3/4 cup brown sugar

Start by dissolving yeast with a quarter of a cup filled water, poured into a small bowl. Take another bowl, and while you let the yeast rest Mix the flour, salt, and sugar slowly add the yeast mixture and remaining 3/4 cup of water. Should form a workable dough, once it's smooth let it rise in a buttered bow (place in warm area for about an hour).

Cut dough in half, roll out a circle. Spread filling around the dough leave 1/2 inch from the edge with nothing all the way around. Roll out the other half parchment paper helps with this step, flip it onto your other circle.

Cut strips leaving the center intact, and twist the strips, here's the great picture the website I found the recipe on, used to demonstrate.

Once done cover and let rise for 20 minutes, while your oven is preheating to 350 degrees. If you'd like you can use an egg wash here, or I just coated it in butter. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees, then turn oven up to 425 for 5 minutes.

OMG! Must remember this for a special occasion when I want to impress. I doubt I could bake this and leave it in the house without eating the whole thing myself otherwise

I haven't yet. But that is definitely on the list. Today I left it for a vote on my FL what the filling would be.

Exactly when I saw the first pictures, I thought way too much work, but it's really easy. I may have cursed once or twice twisting the tails but that is pretty minor during my baking.
