I LOST weight on vacation!

And... it put me at 40 pounds gone.
I'm not sure why that's such a big deal to me, but it is... So I wanted to share it.
I still have a long way to go, but this puts me at about the quarter-of-the-way mark, and I did it while on vacation (for almost 2 weeks!)
That's all. Not sure it counts as a success story, but I wasn't sure where else to post.

I understand your situation because I did the same thing on a recent vacation 3 weeks ago. I actually did what I always used to make fun of other people doing on their vacations: I used the hotel's exercise facility and ran a few miles each evening on their treadmills. It just called out to me and it was weird because I fully planned to relax and enjoy myself but I guess the fitness "bug" has got me good and it kept me on track to becoming more fit. If you can lose weight while on vacation, then you have real discipline and can see this process through to the end. Congrats and good luck!0

This is a huge success story and you should be proud!! This is not something that just "happened", you consciously made good choices and it's paying off.
It shows your dedication to the process, and that you CAN continue to live a REAL LIFE and STILL lose weight.
Bravo, and congrats!! :flowerforyou:0 -
That's great! I was ecstatic this summer when I lost a couple pounds on vacation, too. We went to Toronto, and ate and drank whatever we wanted, so it was a surprise to me. But, we walked and biked everywhere. Just parked the car in the hotel garage because it was easier to just walk. Love those kind of vacations. Congrats!0

Thanks y'all... I was pretty excited to see it considering I *wasn't* doing a lot of moving around. Just a lot of sitting around visiting with family. So my food choices and the occasional walk I managed to take with my husband were all that contributed.0

Good for you! I'm going on vacation soon and I'm hoping I won't gain......so I'm more then a little jelly.0

That is an AWESOME thing to lose weight while on vacation. I was not that lucky last year. I put on 8 pounds in 10 days! Alot of it water because of the flying and the salty foods so it was gone real fast. But what a great surprise to see that you actually lost! Congrats0

It is totally a success. I vacationed recently and I, too, lost weight. Doesn't it feel great to make the good choices while away. This might have been the only time that's happened to me. Looking back, I don't think I felt deprived. At least not so deprived that I stuck with me.0
