annoyed because they are just being nice. You can't see weight loss every single week. one ore 2 pounds is great but unless you work Naked they are not going to notice weekly.

Thrilled the first time, maybe the second too , but it becomes insincere after that.

It depends. If they're being nice about it, I can deal. But, I usually get "you're disappearing!" "You need to stop losing!" "Do you starve yourself??" And that annoys me to death.

They're probably just trying to be nice and encouraging, but yeah I can see how it could get annoying.

Anything becomes annoying if people stress on it too much. You can tell a dog its cute a few times and you'll see it run away after a little while lol.

I have an uncle who, every time he has seen me, ice or twice a year, for probably the last 30 years, has commented that I've lost weight. I think it's just part of his routine..."Hi...great to see you...how've you been...have you lost weight?"
  • Truth is, it's not IF or WHAT someone says that's offensive,
it's HOW I take the comment.
One person can comment all the time, and it can annoy me.
Another person can NOT say anything, and seem NOT to notice,
and that can equally annoy me.
....guess it's more MY problem than theirs.

The only thing I shake my head over is this:

I run into someone I haven't seen in a while. She gets extremely animated and says, "WOW WOW WOW I can't believe it....Man, you lost a TON of weight!!! "

While I am happy with my slow progress, it's comments like that that make me wonder
    " Does 60 lbs look the same as 2,000 ? "
    Apparently so.
That can mess with my mind for months.....
