Slow-cooker /Hawaiian Chicken

5-6 boneless chicken breasts
16 oz can of pineapple slices drained
15oz can of mandarin oranges drained
1/4 cup corn starch
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tsp ground ginger
salt n pepper to taste

spray crock pot with non stick cooking spray place chicken in pot in a mixing bowl whisk together corn starch brown sugar soy sauce lemon juice ginger and salt n pepper pour over chicken next pour in drained pineapple slices and mandarin oranges
cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours

calories 324 sodium: 314mg fat 4g carbohydrates 42g cholesterol 73mg protein 30g fiber 2 g

    That sounds good. I'm wondering if it would make a difference to cook the chicken for a few hours and drain out all the juice before adding the sauce ingredients. That's what I did with the orange chicken recipe (orange marmalade, bbq sauce and soy sauce). I was amazed at the quantity of juice that I drained off, resulting in a sauce that was thicker. That liquid probably contained fat that I didn't need as well.

    I might try this. Sounds similar to a glaze I make with mustard and crushed pineapple to baste on grilled chicken.

    I made it, turned out nothing like the picture. I was so disappointed.

    Sounds delicious, seems super easy. I'll probably leave out the brown sugar if I make it.
