I'm 5' 10" 260 at the moment. I have a large build and have been lifting for over 20;years off and on. Looking to get down to 220 pounds; should be lean enough at that weight to show a visible 6 pack. The pic in my avatar is me at 240 pounds. I'm currently down 25 pounds from my highest ever weight 285. My waist is at 36" right now, has been as low as 32" a 230 pounds, hats where would like to be again. My arms are the largest they have ever been at 19", don't know how much of that will reduce with the fat loss, hopefully not to much lol...

    i'm 5ft9 on a good day :P

    i'm now at 66Kg - or 145.5 lbs
  • I am 6ft (180cm) and weigh 120.9kg. I was checking charts earlier and it looks like I should be 79kg max which is pretty daunting. I will try reach it. I would say I am a large build; my shoulders are pretty broad I guess.
79 kg, yikes - hopefully though.

Just been looking around and I should be around the same weight as CR7 - Cristiano Ronaldo! Ha!
He's around 184/186 cm so taller than me. His weight is reported as 79/84 kg (different websites)
I'm 12 years older than him..
    So here goes.....

Little update for an old thread

Just hit my original goal of 175lbs/ 79.4kg, and gonna keep going. I think I was wrong when I thought before I hadn't been lighter than 175, I think I was, but I just never weighed myself during those times to know.

I'm taking things as they come at the moment, but between 175/ 180 I felt something around the 20% body fat mark would have been a reasonable guesstimate, so suspect something around 165- 170 should put me around the 15% body fat mark, and somewhere around 160- 165 will put me around the 12% mark.

In any case, hitting 168 pre-Christmas is my current aim, and shall re-evaluate, and most likely re-double my efforts post-Christmas to go for 12%, which hopefully my current reverse dieting should help with too.

I think I'm rather curious to see where it shall all end up

5-10 currently 170 @ a relatively low bf%. I love my current weight/build. I spent a lot of my life at 185 with similar bf% and I was borderline muscle head build people told me. The highest I was was 197, and squishy. Dropping down much less than I am now would require very strict attention to lower bf% even more. I'm not willing to do that. I could drop muscle too I suppose but that's not going to happen either.

I'm 5' 11.5" or 6' depending on what shoes I'm wearing :P and I'm currently hovering around 180 lbs, working towards being 170 or lower.

I started at 210 and got down to my goal of 180 a year and a half ago, but I didn't like how flabby I was still. After gaining 10 pounds in an unintentional bulk the summer of 2013, I spent the year dropping back to 180, then maintaining all this summer 2014. I'm still flabby and feeling like I could look better, plus the BMI scale says I'm walking the line between "overweight" and "healthy" so I'm slowly losing 11-15 pounds [1-2 pounds a month] to get under 170 while working out to maintain my current muscle. Hopefully after this drop I can start really maintaining, or recomping. At the very least, I hope that if I get this lean and I'm still flabby that I'll know if it's fat or skin.

So yeah, was 230 and felt fat. Got to 210 just working out and still felt fat. Now 180 and still feel fat [though better overall] and hoping when I get under 170 I can maintain and recomp to finally get rid of this belly!

I'm 5'10.. weigh 195lbs. 20.6% BF.. Tend to be on the thick/stocky side. Would like to get down to at 18%BF but I let my mile/5k/10k times, as well as my strength, be my indicator of health.

Looks are secondary to my performance. As long as performance stays up, I don't mind if I gain or lose weight.

    I'm 5'9
    Highest weight: 350 lbs

I'm currently at 282 lbs, I'm working out aggressively and eating right. My goal isn't really a number but if I had to pick one it'd be 180 lbs. When I was 21 I got down to 220 lbs and was pretty awesome looking (ton of muscle mass). I've always been heavier and can't remember weighing under 200 lbs.

I'm currently wearing a 2XL shirt and depending on the shirt cut can stretch the shoulders by flexing my shoulder blades outward. I carry most of my weight in my stomach and thighs. My pants are 44 wide and 28 long if I could ever find them. I typically have to have pant legs that are longer and get them hemmed.

I'd like to be wearing a L shirt and have it loose in the ab area but tight in arms/shoulders. I enjoyed when flexing my arms would stretch the sleeves out. I'd like to be in a 36 width pants I believe. We'll see how it is when I get there.

My physical activity goal is to be able to complete a Tough Mudder toward the end of March in 2015. I've already signed up so we'll see how it goes.

I've bailed on my last two attempts to do Savage Race as I was scared I couldn't complete the course.

I'm 5'9 / 148. My lowest was 126 and my max was 176. Currently 11% body fat and maintaining weight at 3500 calories daily.

I'm an ectomorph - slim wrists, ankles and waist (28), so on one hand I'm lucky to be able to eat anything I like within reason, but I struggle to find time to eat so much on busy days so I do a lot of portable calories like Quest bars, protein shakes, flapjacks and juice.

According to the body mass analyzer, I'm pretty much at my ideal weight - I would like to be at sub 10% body fat, and it seems to go down by a decimal point every 6 weeks so I should be there in about 6 months :)

I'm 5'9, current TrendWeight has me at 172.7 ( https://trendweight.com/u/58f4f9e97f3740/ ). My profile pic is from January 11, 2014 and TrendWeight had me at 174.1 then.

I am currently trying to maintain weight while doing body recomposition ( more muscle & less fat). Recently used measurements to calculate my body fat percentage at 19% ( https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/19811888/Body%20Fat%2010-13-2014%209-59-58%20AM.png ).

I'm 5'8 (5'9 with my hair!) and weigh 155lb, 17.6% BF (apparently). Most of my weight is around the belly, aiming to lose body fat and gain muscle now.

I'm 5'9" with a medium frame. Age 66. Current weight 185, current goal weight 164 but subject to downward revision after I get there. I've been stable and comfortable in the 155 - 160 range, but I was much younger then!
Two months later I'm down to 174 and I've revised my goal to 156. Current estimated bodyfat is 21%, and I feel it's realistic to expect 14% - 15% at 156. That's based on dividing the remaining loss 3-1, fat to lean mass. I'd be very happy with that. Even happier if I can retain a higher proportion of lean mass. The guidelines generally say 13% - 17% bodyfat is healthy for non-athletes.

I'm 5'9", 150 lbs, 60 yrs old, and somewhere around 12% to 14% bodyfat, depending on what method I use. Medium framed, I think. Recent pic is in my profile.

FWIW, I take bodyfat readings every Saturday morning using a bioimpedance scale, skinfold calipers using a single site and triple site measurements, and a tape measure. The bioimpedance scale has me between 10% and 12%. The tape measure has me around 11%. The 3 point skinfold has me around 12% to 13%, and the 1 point (suprailiac) skinfold has me at 14.6%. That last one hasn't changed in the 6 or 7 weeks since I bought the calipers -- it's always exactly 14.6%.

I'm 5ft10, 22 years old. Was 210lbs beginning of the year and now down to 162lbs give or take at about 13 percent bf. I look way smaller but I would place myself as medium build. Decent 6 packs but about 13 - 13.5 in arms I would guesstimate. Lean bulking when summer hits but I feel personally that 175lbs at 10% bf would be ideal for our height. I'm looking to do a recomposition to that size and weight over the next few years but happy being skinny Rob for now.

I'm almost exactly the same height as you (just under 5'10") and weigh 75kg (down from 96kg). I chose 75kg because it was at the upper end of the 'ideal' BMI range. I'm 50 years old and was lookingto stay leaner as I get older. At 75kg I think I'm pretty lean - I can still lose about another 19kg and remain in the 'healthy' BMI range but I think that would put me into the scrawny category and I wouldn't look healthy at all - of course that might be because I like the difference between the beginning of the year and now, others might think I need to lose a few more kg :)

I'm 5'9" and I weigh 130lbs. Which might be a bit skinny for a man but suits me fine. I am thinking about getting down to 125 though.

Not sure if "guys" means just men or people generally. Anyway, I've got skinny legs but a bigger upper body.

i'm 5'9 and currently at 166lbs would like to be below 154 but will see .. never worked out until now ..not very muscly or heavy set .. I'm trying to lose the weight and keep the lean muscles I'm building up right now..that would be ideal for myself.

Haha, dont' worry, I know there's a similar ladies thread around, in fact it was what inspired me to start this one

I'm all for being inclusive, and not restrictive, but figure for the purposes of gathering a good cross-sample of info here, it would be best confined to just male weight
