I'm with you! I just joined mfp yesterday and I have about 73lbs to use or 33.2kg since I'm in a metric country! I've given myself 22mths to reach my goal weight - by my 40th birthday. Friend me and we can egg each other on :-)0

I am with you too. I am starting this again at 201. Right now my first target is 145 so I need to lose 56 pounds. I would like to do this by October. But my ultimate goal weight is 125 for my age and height. Baby steps first though. I am more likely to reach my goal in steps.0

That's almost exactly my long term goal. I said 30 on my profile but ultimately I'd like to lose 85. So far, so good!:happy:0

I started at 255... id like to get to 170. i've lost 33 lbs so far. feel free to add me. if anyones interested we could start a group on here as well for encouragement?!?!0

I'm with you too! Woke up one morning tipping the scales at 240 - I really should be 150.
Also going through detox from Alchohol which is what caused the weight gain in the first place - so really needing some support!
How does this happen - one day you are thin and vibrant and then you wake up and don't even recognize yourself....0 -

When I started my journey in May 2010 I wanted to lose 90 lbs. Well I'm over halfway there! Once you get your mind set to do it, YOU CAN!

Hi, I am new to this as well.
I am currently at 190lbs. (13.5 stone) In Summer 2009 i started loosing weight when i reached nearly 16 stone -just a couple of pounds under! (222 lbs) Initially i did quite well, i was taking reductil (with no adverse reactions or medical issues- guess i was one of the lucky ones until it was band and no longer available (( ) I was going to Aqua aerobics 4 times a week and i lost an amazing 56 lbs by summer 2010..... Then i split with my long term partner, was very stressful, started going out partying a lot (alcohol, take away etc) and got out of doing the exercise. I have put on 24lbs in the last 5 months or so.
I want to loose around 30lbs. I know i will still be classed as overweight, but its been a long time since i was anywhere near 140lbs and to be quite frank,; i dont want to be that thin. I like my curves and my boobs too much lol. I want to be a few pounds lighter then i was before it all went wrong.
So i am in it for the long haul, the only way to loose weight and keep it off is to do it slowly- i am aiming for 1lb a week loss.0 -

anyone interested in making this a weekly thread? we could pick a certain day to weigh in (i usually do sunday and monday haha). could be good motivation... im in another thread and its fun to just chat throughout the week as well..0
