Severe pain in lower right side of abs...any advice?

Hi all
For the last 5 weeks I've been doing the Insanity workout. Around the 3 week mark I started to notice a slight pain in the lower right side of my abs...literally in my groin. The pain was especially noticeable during ab exercises such as the plank and push ups.
I decided to ignore it but unfortunately, its gotten a lot worse. The other night I was doing press ups and felt a severe pain and a 'popping' feeling. I ended up doubled over in pain for half an hour then spent the rest of the night treading lightly for fear of triggering the pain again.
Since then, the pain is still mostly apparent during ab exercises. It also hurts alot when I do things such as power jumps.
The pain is sharp, sudden and feels like a pulling or tugging sensation.
Ive only got 3 weeks left of insanity and ideally would like to finish it but is there any way? At the moment I'm not getting the most out of my workouts as I'm too cautious and am unable to do most of the exercises.
And help or advice would be appreciated!

Hernia?0 -
This is something a doctor needs to hear.0

could be hernia, could be appendix, def need to go get to a dr/er and get it checked out asap before you end up making it worse.0

Sounds like it might be a hernia. Regardless, definitely see your doctor.0

Hernia or appendix. Can you hop on one foot? If not, it's your appendix and you need to go to the ER.0

Yeah, it's likely a hernia. Need to see a doc.0

And stop doing those exercises until you've been checked out by a medical professional and cleared for exercise.0

That sounds more like a hernia than an inflamed appendix. You'd have a fever and probably vomiting by now. With a hernia, as long as it doesn't get strangulated, you can live well enough without surgery (and you will know if it does, you'll get REALLY sick; high fever, vomiting) but don't do anything that makes it hurt more and you really should see a Dr about it as soon as you can. The Mr has one and they won't fix it because it isn't big and they would cause more damage fixing it, as small as it is. They just have him monitor it and stop any movements that cause pain.0

OP: please see a doctor.0
