Loss of period

Options
Hello,
I haven't had my period in several years, it's been over 7 years. I'm 32 years, I'm at a healthy weight. I did suffer from anorexia in my early 20's for about 8 years or so. Do you think the reason why I don't get my period now is bc the body takes a long time to repair itself after years of abuse and malnourishment? I now have the provera pill (10 day) and will begin taking it this wk. the dr recommended it before, but to be hinest I didn't take the prescription bc i was too nervous (I'm anti medication). However, now At 32 years old I'm taking it for health and to help regulate female hormones etc. I appreciate your input

I suffered from anorexia in my early years and now the only way for me to have a period is by pumping lots of hormones through my body. Without them I don't have any. Due to the abuse my body went through when I didn't eat

I am still underweight but getting closer to my healthy weight goal now.

It may take a while before you get normal periods again. so far it has been around 5 years for me and still no normal periods
