Vega One vs. protein powder ?

Hi there, I'm completely lost when it comes to protein powders.
I use 3/4 scoop of Vega One in my breakfast smoothie every day and I'm adequately 'full' for about 5 hours.
How does Vega One compare with protein powders? Which is better? Also, I have a recipe for a power cookie that calls for vanilla whey protein powder. Do you think I can use Vega One instead? Are they interchangeable?

Vega One is the best choice for a protein powder. You can use it interchangeably for sure. Avoid any animal-product protein (whey is dairy) as they are very hard for your body to break down and digest compared to vegetable protein.
Progressive is another brand that makes a plant-based protein powder - I find it even tastes better than Vega.0 -
Vega One is a cheapened version of Vega. It's still good, but it is not a meal replacement. It won't give you adequate nutrition, it's meant as a snack or to supplement your meal. I would stick with regular Vega. If you're going for a smoothie for your meail then try Garden of Life Raw Meal.
Genuine Health makes a very good vegan protein powder which I use. I have also been using a whey powder and I like it.
The vegan vs. non vegan idea is hotly debated all the time. I have done both. I am having better results with whey protein.0 -

I use a variety of Vega products and like most of them. I'm a vegetarian, lactose intolerant, and have some weird food allergies (eggs, green peppers, some cabbages). After trying a lot of different products, it's the only one that doesn't cause me "issues."
I love the Vega Smoothies for breakfast with Almond Milk. I love a lot of the Vega Sport products which are phased (prepare, sustain, recover) and I never get leg cramps after running which was a big problem I had in the past. My favorite products are: Pre-Workout Energizer Acai Berry 70 cal, Electrolyte Hydrator Berry or Lemon Lime 0 cal, Recovery Accelerator Tropical 90 cal, Sustain Chocolate Coconut Almond Bar 230 cal, and Recover Chocolate Coconut Bar 250 cal with 15 g protein. The bars are freaking amazing, I love them!
I'm not a fan of the gels, they are too sweet and grainy. I prefer Boom Carb Energy Gels.
The Vega website has several sample packs to check out for a reasonable price. I received my first order in less than 2 days and it was packed really well. I buy both from the website and my local health food store.
I don't work for the company, I don't get paid for my endorsements, I'm simply sharing Vega products have been the best for me.

Much by accident, I picked up a sample pack of the Vega Protein Smoothie Powder (chocolate) at the Bulk Barn a short while ago. I mixed it with a cup of unsweetened almond milk and LOVE it. I mix it in a shaker cup with a few ice cubes and drink half before I work out and half after.
I didn't realize there was a whole line (prepare, recover, etc.)...will now be checking it out!0
