    How about Stephen King's "Thinner"?

    steven king books are awesome.

I wish i had time to read a book. I've been working on a couple of them. I just have to get motivated again.

I started a good one not too long ago.. called double bind. Very interesting, not sure of the out come just yet. but great intro and climax to the story

Stephen King's older stuff is so much better than his new stuff. I loved Salems Lot. I would like to join but dont really want to be the one to pick the book if that is ok.

Oh guys -- I've been such a slacker!!
(Slacking when it comes to getting this book club started, busy as heck in real life!)

Laptop #2 is up and running.
I'm thinking as long as the daycare is open on Monday and the hubby is at work, and I have a day to myself, I just might be able to get this running!

I have all the patience in the world as long as I get what I want eventually.

Keep your real life running smoothly and fit this in when you have time.

    Looking forward to it.

I am intersted, but what are the ground rules for the book chosen? What I mean is what is the theme of your book club?

(I know that may have come off a bit snob-ish, but theme will decied the type of books choosen)

    i'll join!!

i think it would be benefitial to everyone if the theme is "uplifting" books... books that make us think better of ourselves.

I'd like to join this. How about October startup?

I have a book I read recently that I really liked. It was a romance, kinda. It also was about a women coming into her own and losing weight. And running a triathalon. Not sure if it is appropriate for what is intended here. The name was Pretty Woman.

    Steven King rocks!

Sounds interesting. I don't think they have set a theme or said that it had to be a particular type of book.
