Hey Elvis could rock a Christian song, if you want something a little more traditional.

Also for any techno workout freaks like myself the site posted above just announced an app for iphone and android for their music! Super Sweet! nothing like driving techno to get you through the workout!
  • These previous suggestions are fantastic! Some of my favorite (specific) songs::

"Lemonade" Chris Rice (Great song for warming up or for a brisk walk -- always puts a spring in my step!)
    "I Am Free" Newsboys
    "You Are Good" David Crowder

I'll keep brainstorming and checking back for other suggestions. Now I have a new motivation and I'm gonna go dance away my next workout!! :)

Mary Mary has a great new uptempo song appropriately named Walking. Here are some of the lyrics that seem to fit perfectly for most situations, but especially when you're trying to lose weight:
    Look at me, I’m trying
    Every day, I fall down
    Make mistakes, get back up
    Try again,
next time that you see me
    I’m walkin’

I love Stellar Kart, anything by Tobymac, Grits, Beckah Shae, and Group 1 crew. They all have really awesome upbeat songs to listen to. If you want country Taylor swift has some upbeat songs  Hope that helps!

They aren't very popular anymore (that I know of) but the group "Jake" is a christian band. They had a really big hit song that was featured on the first "Left Behind" movie... where Kirk Cameron's character accepts Christ (Not sure if you've seen the movie or not!) ALL of Jake's songs on their CD are upbeat! I just looked them up to see what albums they have and I only saw two... but the one I have that is on my iPod is their self-titled album: "Jake". They have a good pop -groove to them that makes working out to the 'beat' a fun way to do it! I also recommend some of Nicole Nordeman's upbeat songs, "Perfect people" is on my iPod... if you need any other suggestions let me know! :) Jen

Oh and Skillet is a little 'harder' but they have a good rock-out CD! Makes you forget you're working out!! I have them on my iPod also! I also agree with the post about TobyMac. Third Day isn't bad although I don't really care for the guy's voice.... LOL. I like Chris Tomlin a lot too.
  • Mary Mary, Super Chick- "we live", TobyMac
  • "Everywhere I go" Israel Houton. Great for an elliptical steady pace song

"Sing, Sing Sing" a bit faster for a crazy workout.

"Control" Mute Math, This is what I warm up with.

Gotta keep the feet going on beat tho!

Please name some more Christian rap and up tempo gospel songs and artists!! Need to set up more up tempo playlists for my ipod while I walk, and ride the eliptical and bicycle.

Try Rapture Ruckus - he's a NZ artist, whose just been taken over to the US. He's pretty good - totally upbeat. Try "Rockin'".

I also like TobyMac for fitness. And Switchfoot. =)

Parachute Band with No Eye Has Seen is pretty upbeat! I love cycling to it!
