What i had all day up above probably doesn't sound like a lot to some of you but this is like the least i eat through out the day...
I still feel like it was alot though:sad:

That doesn't sound like a huge amount of food to me. Shoot, I had a bowl of oatmeal and two hardboiled eggs for breakfast, yogurt w/ granola and PB for a snack w/ some pineapple slices, a piece of grilled salmon pre-workout and a shake w/ a cup of milk, 1/2 cup yogurt, and a scoop of protein powder post-workout, and I still have 800 calories to go. Eating 'too much' is relative to how many calories you burn in a day. If you want to eat a lot like I do, work out a lot! I kill myself for 1-2 hours a day, and in return, I feed myself 1500-1800 calories a day, sometimes more.
As far as motivation...only you can provide that. It helps to just not think about it initially..don't think 'ugh, I'm going to work so hard, and it'll be tough." Just go to the gym, do your thing, and THEN think about how good you feel. In no time you'll be addicted to the endorphins released during exercise (they're the same things that keep you attracted to your mate and loving chocolate).0 -
I keep my Food Diary up on my screen all day long. That way, I log both calories consumed, and burned ASAP. Doing that, I've found allows me to plan on doing both, at a glance! therefore I have more motivation to either not consume, or to burn calories if I want a treat (my usual nightcap of scotch, for instance).0

I once heard a comment...
When you wake up in the AM and you think "Should I go work out today?" The answer is always YES. It just becomes a mind set, there's no negotiation, it's just a fact..YES you are working out today.
Not that I am perfect at following this, but it does help me adjust my attitude from time to time.

Just a side note
WATCH OUT FOR TUNA SANDWICH FROM SUBWAY
Its loaded with mayo = bad
As far as working out, make it a part of your schedule and convenient for you
for me,
I chose a gym on my way home from work so that I HAVE to drive by it EVERYDAY,
its not so easy when its right there, you have no excuse!
Once you make sure you have time for the gym in your schedule, it will be second nature, you won't even second guess. It's like going to class or work, its mandatory.0 -

Better yet - work out first thing in the morning before you can decide if you want to or not! I work out at an ungodly hour - so by the time my brain has caught up with my body (i.e. morning coffee and breakfast), the deed is already done! :laugh:0 -
I would love to work out and just hit the gym as soon as i wake up... and make it a natural got to do thing. But I am not a morning person, I get up at 7 to leave my house at 8 and be at work by 9. So when i get out of work, it's already 5-5:30 and then if i feel up to it i go home and change, for the gym, the gym is not on my way home  .. lately I've been going home and hitting the refrigerator for a snack or whatever i find that looks tasty....:noway: I'm so ashamed with myself :noway: If i feel like i ate too much that day, it makes me have an excuse not to go to the gym....ERRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! :sad:0

if you feel like you ate too much, you should be more encouraged to go to the gym to justify those calories.
Bring a gym bag full of clothes with you and just head straight there after work, just because its not on your way home means you have to make that extra stop.
You'll also save money on gas by making less stops and start ups0 -
I have always found that if I go home to change, I never go to the gym. But, when I started bringing my clothes WITH me to work, then I was more likely to go to the gym. On your way home or not, if clothes are with you, you are more likely to go to the gym.
I posted this just as I saw that MJ did. LOL0 -

Yep, this is what I do- I repeat the mantra "IT IS NOT AN OPTION." It really works! Try it when you have a craving for something in your fridge, say to yourself, "It's NOT an option." If you want to stay parked on the couch, tell yourself IT IS NOT AN OPTION. It does work!!0 -

Well if someone is TAKING you to the gym...what more motivation do you need? You don't even have to go through the trouble of getting yourself there! If I can walk all the way to the gym regardless of weather, you can certainly find your way to your bf's car and let him drive you there LOL  I worked an 8-5 last year too, with an hour long commute both ways, so my day was commute, work, commute, gym, dinner, pack food for the next day, shower. I was in bed by 10 and up at 7, and it was definitely doable. Pack your food, eat a healthy snack on the way home, and then let your bf escort you to the gym, problem solved.0 -
I wake up and get the kids on the school bus and i usually have an hour before my youngest wakes up then so I do my work out then. Although I just started doing that because its the first week of school but I am trying to make an effort. I was really tired this morning because I had a late meeting last night and didnt get home til almost 11 pm but after I worked out this morning I felt better and more awake.

If having someone pick you up is not helping you make yourself go, maybe you need to just let him know you will pick him up right after work, or you will meet him there.0 -
Thanks for the help!!! I'll probably just end up meeting him there! I hope this works! Although, i don't like going and showing up alone....but i need to start, besides it is for me!!! I need to do this!!0
