Honeymoon

I've lost 30 lbs. I feel good. I still have more weight to lose. Now I'm getting married this Saturday and going on my honeymoon. I know I'm still going to be health conscience but, I don't want to be counting calories. My biggest concern is can I indulge and have alcohol? Will I gain 10 pounds of water weight and not fit in my new clothes? I will be in Big Sur and Avila beach and doing a lot of hiking/walking but no other working out. I understand I will probably gain weight but I'm worried and I don't want my weight to be a buzzkill. Any advice?

Liquor and diet soda are your best bet, or just liquor on the rocks. It's the fruity mixed ones that'll get ya. But really, enjoy!! A week isn't going to kill any long-term work you've done if you get back on the horse afterwards.
This is the (hopefully!!) only honeymoon you'll ever get - enjoy it!0 -

I went to Vegas for almost 2 weeks after losing 10-20 lbs, ate ALL the foods drank ALL the free drinks I could manage, even beer and the fruity ones and the ones that are a virtual milkshake with some alcohol dumped in for good measure. The food was free and I ate anything I wanted and in quantity. I'd guess I was easily topping 4-6k calories a day while there. I did walk a lot because that's just how Vegas is. The scale was only 8 lbs higher when I got back and I think the actual weight gain was only 3-5 lbs.
You should be fine if you drink and keep to the suggestions others have made (not too many fruity drinks or with a sugary/juice mixer or a milk base, not 10-20 beers every day).
You might bring along a few more forgiving articles of clothing depending on how tight/fitting what you own is and how small you are, as the few lbs water weight may affect you enough to affect the fit of your clothes. For me it wouldn't too much, but I am quite large.0 -
vodka w/ diet soda
but my advice is: THIS IS YOUR HONEYMOON! this is your ONLY honeymoon! DO NOT diet, DO NOT count calories or worry about one darn thing except you and your new spouse!!!! i have been married for 22 years and my honeymoon feels like a million years away. time goes WAY TOO FAST. ENJOY ENJOY ENJOY!! do not weigh before you leave, do not weigh until about a week after you get home. LIFE IS TOO SHORT!

Thank you all, I feel better about it. Besides I can lose it again if I need to.0

I didn't get a honeymoon with my first marriage, and I'll be damned if I'm going to go through it all again and not have a honeymoon where I enjoy things with a bit of reckless abandonment. :noway:
Now I just need to get "DH" on the same page about getting married... :laugh:0 -
I remember on my honeymoon, I did plenty of 'exercise' :blushing: and I'm sure that counteracts any extra calories :bigsmile:0
