    Hi all,

    I just joined MFP on Jan. 8, so I figure this is a great way to get a jump start on the weight loss!

    Start weight 1/8 - 294

    going to try for 15-20 lb loss so my goal will be around 275 for 2/14

    I lost 1 pound this week! Which is amazing considering all the chocolate I've been eating.

    Starting weight: 152lbs
    Current weight: 134lbs
    Goal weight: 125lbs

    Logging everything is really working! Even on my so-so days (over 2000 cal) I have kept track. I am averaging about 1800 cal a day so I am thrilled with the results!

    Checking in again this week. I'm on a roll!! Here's where I am:

    Started 1/2:174
    Tuesday 1/8:171
    Today 1/11: 169.5

    So, 4.5 pounds lost total, 10.5 more to reach my Valentines goal of 159! This is amazing so far! I just have to keep it up!!! I'm check in again on Monday!

    I'm a new member and a new blogger. On 1/2/08 I weighed in at 213. Today I'm 211. I was a little frustrated with loosing just 2 lbs this week but in reading the entries it appears that not abnormal. I was hoping that it being the first week I'd have lost more. I'm 51 years years old and have been dieting off and on for most of my life. I'm currently on a combination of the 40/30/30 diet and WW (by that I mean I'm counting my points but following the basic premiss of the 40/30/30 diet. I tried the 40/30/30 diet a couple years ago and lost weight quite quickly and felt great. This time (maybe because of my age it's coming off much slower). Anyway, my goal by 2/14/08 is 200 lbs.

    I haven't taken any of the challenges before. However, my weight sort of plateaud over Christmas :tongue: (at least I didn't gain any:wink: ) So here I am checking in:

    Start: November/07 -- 157
    Current: January/08 -- 143

    Valentine's Goal: -- 135
    Overall goal: -- 120

    My birthday is February 18 so if I keep on track and reach my goal I'm going to buy myself an extra bday present!:bigsmile: (plus I'll let my husband take me out to dinner)

    I'm just sicker than a dog and have been for about a week. My exercise has been posting! I guess I will make up for it when I am back in the saddle again.

    I'm thrilled by everyone elses success and it is motivating me for whenever I can get going.:smile:

    Hi everyone,
    I went to a hockey game and out to a bar with my husband and a couple of friends and of course the beer and junk food was all around. I drank water the whole night and did not eat any of the food. For the first time I forcused on my friends (not what I was eatting) and I danced all night long (burned a lot of calories). This morning I feel great. I wanted to see what i weighted today but, thought I should wait (my day is on thurs.) .
    I love this site. I am going to lose this weight and this time for good.

    Just wanted to update you on my day. I was afraid because I had such a good night last night and today I had a baby shower to go to. I was drawn to the table with the white cake and chocolate chip cookies and chips and you name it it was there. I walked away I did it. I had an orange before I left the house and I was not hungery and I know I didn't need the cookies and I didn't. I walked away. I thought of everyone I had seen on this website and I tought I can do this.

    It is amazing what a little PMS will do for water retention...I was 167 on saturday. I expect a bigger drop by next week. Good luck everyone.

    I have been out of town for a late Christmas with my family. So I am checking in for the 2nd week now.

    The first week I lost 1 lonely pound.
    The second week I lost 2 pounds for a total of 3 lbs lost in 2 weeks.

    I have 12 lbs to go before Valentines day.

    Starting weight was 200 lbs
    so now I weigh 197
