Had to up my calories.

I recently had to raise my calories from 1700 to 1900. It turns out that my activity level has gone up enough that I was losing too fast, even eating back exercise calories. I decided to go from sedentary to lightly active and now I only eat back about 2/3 of the calories earned from my water aerobics class and none from my walking. It seems to have put me back on the pace I wanted. I set myself to lose 1 lb a week with enough wiggle room where I don't worry if I lose closer to 1.5 lb a week. I have averaged 1.3 since starting MFP but was starting to get up to 2. I know 2 a week is safe for someone my size, but I really want to take this slow so I can retrain my brain for eventual maintenance as well as give the skin a chance to shrink up a little as I go down.

It seemed a little weird at first, but raising calories was not a problem. I have just added a morning snack the days I work out in the morning and a little more in the evening on the days I don't.

That's great! I think you're very wise for taking such a realistic, logical approach.

I find that I eat over my calories every day, but have my exercise calories so don't worry about it. For losing 1 lb a week i'm at 1300 calories which I always go over. I do lose on average closer to 2 a week though. You have this program down pat. You are always doing so great.

Awesome! I love to hear about people who are committing to health and not just quick weightloss- 1900 sounds far healthier for an adult who's getting exercise. If only more people could do the same ;)
