Do MULTIVITAMINS cause weight gain?

I've heard that multivitamins stuff up your metabolism and everything, you get bloated etc etc.
I was wondering if this is true and what your experience with multivitamins have been like?
I don't know if I should take them but if it helps with weight loss then why not :P
But then apparently you gain weight so i don't know.
I'm on a healthy diet with mainly vegetables, lean protein and healthy fats. I'm female, 18 btw.

My pharmacist told me they could make you gain up to 0.5 lbs a month. Doesn't make sense to me. But that's what he said.
So I don't know if I believe that or not, but even if it were +0.5 lbs a month, I think the health benefits outweigh any consequences for me, especially since I'm always low on calcium and iron.0 -

Did your pharmacist ever explain why or how? It sounds extremely far-fetched to me. I mean, perhaps if someone who is deficient in certain nutrients that are required for rebuilding muscles, and that person is eating lots of protein, and that person has one hell of a workout routine....I don't know.
It just sounds really stupid, though. And if true, it sounds really, really rare of an occurrence.0
