<Okay am obviously not an alcoholic!! >
I'm not inferring anything but all drinking alcoholics say this lol
So not true buddy.0 -
I see the health police are out in force, the quicker you get drunk the cheaper it is, winner winner chicken dinner(with a glass of wine)0

This is an amazing GIF.
3 large glasses of wine? I would be so so drunk with that amount! Yes, losing weight does make one dramatically more sensitive to alcohol, in my opinion. Also, being dehydrated, as one often is immediately after a workout, contributes hugely too.0 -
Love this ^^^ where do you buy the wine bottles to go with these glasses lol?
I have found I can't drink the same quantities of alcohol I used too as I get older. I have found I have intolerances to certain food too that I never had years ago. The body changes, your tolerances change.
I get terrible headaches from some wines so I sometimes choose the lighter alcohol wines and opt to share when I crack open a bottle.
I prefer a long drink, Voddy & sprite zero. Lower cals too.
Maybe you could try a long drink with a small shot of spirit and a mixer with lots of ice instead of a glass of wine because when you are out socialising it is so very easy to keep glugging down the wine as you chat.
???? cheers0 -
Are you on keto? Keto can increase the alcoholic effect of drinks0
-
Nope definitely not just alot lighter than I used to be.. Although tonight had some vodka and on the walk back from the pub felt like I was burning up!! Not sure why had a fairly stressful day today though and a seriously crap diet!!0

Here's an interesting list of low alcohol craft beers.
Um, apparently, I didn't post the link. Well, that was silly of me.

3 large pinots and I'd be absolutely *kitten*-faced :drinker:
^:drinker: this right there.0 -
I am a really cheap date now. I could drink a whole bottle of wine by myself before. Now ONE GLASS and I'm tipsy! I am on Keto and I felt the effects right away.0

Where do I sign up?! Lol
OP, I get tipsy quicker than I did before also. I chalk it up to lower body weight, and reduced calorie intake. I just drink slower now so it doesn't all hit me at once.0 -
That's a lot of calories though. Stay with a 4 oz glass of wine then switch to water to maintain your weight loss goals.0
-
OP, you OBVIOUSLY need to stop with the exclamation points...obviously.
Edit to add: 3 large glasses of wine is a lot of alcohol. if a large glass is 8 oz instead of the 5 oz serving, you're talking an entire bottle of wine.0 -

This is not a problem.
I am currently dealing with an unhealthy relationship with alcohol, and I'm tapering off alcohol at the moment. I'm very honest about this, and like having people in my friends list who have similar problems. So when I see someone screaming "Alcohol! Problem!", I come to the thread thinking they may actually have a problem. When I get there and see someone saying "I just can't drink like I used to! What should I do? Do I need more practice!?" it's borderline insulting.0 -
lol ... ya ... 3 large glasses of wine = entire bottle0
-
Borderline insulting? Because someone's problem is only a minor one and not serious enough? Strange...0

Because it's not a problem. Not even a minor one.
Unless, maybe, her problem is that for some reason she thinks she should be able to drink more. Maybe she's trying to build a dependence? I just don't get it.0 -
3 glasses is one over the legal limit to drive.0
