Ideas for a reward when I hit target

If I ever get to my goal, getting there will be reward enough!
I have put off a restaurant meal until I hit 175 pounds. It's less reward and more scheduling, but I'm looking forward to it in a big way.0 -
I get it. I really do.
But, for me, achieving my goal will be its own reward. Not hat I deserve a reward. I am disgusted with myself for letting it get this out of hand. Why should I reward myself for doing what I should have been doing years ago? Why should I reward myself for getting out of a situation I never should have allowed myself to get into? The fork didn't make me fat.0 -
I bought a cool electronic scale when I started back on the road to sanity but was very disappointed it had a 400lb load limit.. The best reward so far was the first day I stepped on it and it didn't read "ERR"! I'm glad I didn't I didn't get a talking scale as I imagine hearing it grunt and groan when I stepped on might have been a demotivator0

New clothes or a mini vacation to celebrate.
This is what I try to do. That way, every four to six months +/- I can get excited about going someplace fun (my choice).0 -
I typically don't set rewards for meeting goals, but I do like to buy fitness related things when I feel I'm doing well. Sometimes it's small stuff like a foam roller and massage ball I bought recently (best investment for the money ever if you work out!), or more expensive things like quality running shoes.Maybe spend a few dollars to go ad-free on an app you like, new clothes as others have mentioned, or even a really nice pillow to help you sleep better if you don't have one already. The difference between a $5 pillow and a $100 one is pretty ridiculous, and not an investment that normally would come to mind Don't buy one just cause it's expensive, though! Gotta find the right one.0

Well I haven't gotten a 10lb reward yet and I'm considering downloading dragon quest 4 for my cell phone.0

I tried to reward myself with food, but every time I grabbed a treat at the store, I would look at the calories and put it back. Can't break out of my new healthier mindset, even when I tried, lol.
However, my wife has found ways to reward me as I have lost weight. I'm just not going to go into further detail...0 -
I reward myself with a new goal. Not necessarily weight related, but fitness related. Now I'm working toward a lower bf% and when I hit that I'll probably choose a strength goal. It's good to keep me motivated to remain fit after losing.0

My plan is too sign up for dance classes once I hit my goal. I have always been to ashamed to dance in public due to my size. So, my dream is to learn how to dance.0

Ive decided Im going to reward my self with a new suit (which Ill need to as some of the others might be a bit loose), and also a J Lindbergh golf top, which should look quite good on a new skinnier me! :-)

A baby. I was 204 (BMI =obese) when I started and hubby and I want to start trying for a baby in April 2015. I want to hit my target weight by then so I am healthy when I carry. It also scared me that I may need to lose the baby weight plus my current weight if I didn't slim down before hand.
Other rewards I have thought of: I was thinking of going for a full spa day including massage, pedicure, and facial. I have also been considering coloring my hair (I know that's not a big one but I have kept my natural color for 6years). Oh... and a new bikini. God only knows where my old one...when I was able to wear one... ended up0 -
okay so non food related rewards are what my dietician told me... 100 lbs lost I got a fitbit, 150 lbs lost I got to go to my local junk yard and crush cars, when I get to 200 lbs I will go roller skating and finally at 250 lbs My goal I will go line dancing and have the outfit to go with it I am 8 lbs away from 200 lbs lost half my starting body weight.

I thought about this too. As far as rewards when I meet milestones (20 lbs etc) I don't do that; but the big reward I want is probably at 1/2 way to goal and the "finish line" (which is never really a finish line but just starting maintaining the weight).....so with that said:
these are some of the things I thought of:
Clothes
A vacation
Heart rate monitor
a Race
watch
Jewelry
new pocketbooks
new sneakers
computer
join a gym

Think about your hobbies or interests that you have yet to explore. When I hit my ultimate goal weight, I'm signing myself up for dance classes: ballet and aerial. Though, I may start ballet earlier as the course starts in January, no matter what.
Also, think about things that fit a more active and healthier lifestyle, because this will be your lifestyle from now on if you plan on keeping the weight off. A brand new bicycle? If you already have a bicycle, maybe one milestone reward could be a new helmet or one of those cycling outfits. New golf clubs. Tennis lessons. Maybe a mandolin slicer to make super pretty salads. Massages are supposed to be great at preventing loose skin. Go to a spa and treat yourself to a great massage.
Is their anything you wanted to do but found yourself too insecure to try due to your weight? If so, do it!!!0 -

Pandora bracelet and charms
This is what I do. I get to buy a new charm every 5 pounds. (And as of this morning I get another one!!!!!!!!)

I'm telling myself I don't get any rewards until I'm 1/3 of the way to my goal, which I have about 14 pounds left for the first one. :laugh: But I'll probably buy a new beadweaving kit as it's my passion. Or get my hair dyed. Not sure which one is coming first. When I hit my maintenance weight it'll be a lot of new clothes.0
