Let's do this

Hello! I just joined MyFitnessPal, hoping to become way healthier and gain control of my eating habits. I don't really need to lose any weight (I have already lost 20lbs) though I'm hoping to lose a couple more. Most of all I just want to get better at this whole eating thing - I'm a classic binge/starve yo-yo dieter, and although I've lost weight, it was not exactly in a healthy way.
Hoping this'll work for me with you lovely people for support and information. Nice to meet y'all! :)

I also just recently joined to become a more healthy eater. I only have 5 pounds that have crept up over the past year that I need to lose , but want to be healthier overall. I also tend to skip most meals, just eat dinner and then splurge on unhealthy craving foods 1 day a week, a very unhealthy way to maintain. I have found logging my food has already really helped to see where i am deficient in needed fiber, water intake, etc. The first step i made 3 weeks back was to give up coffee for green tea or oolong or herbal combinations of both, was difficult at first, but already feel the differences in a boost to my metabolism, skin is more hydrated and now i look forward to my teas. I used to hate making tea before, having to seep the bag in the cup, but found a great automatic tea brew machine that makes a carafe of tea, keeps it warm and does all the seeping for me, its just like a traditional coffee machine its called "real tea" its about $50 and love it. I also have started beginners yoga, easy stretching stuff, that i do at home, there are hundreds of videos for beginners on you tube to follow and it has really helped me overall feel better. Dont get me wrong i am no yogi head, was just trying to fit in some low impact exercise as i have a very bad arthritic hip. Also trying not to skip meals, but still finding it difficult, its hard to break bad habits but its a journey, one step at a time to a more healthy lifestyle. Wishing you good lucj on your more healthy journey :-)
