30 Days Shred + weight lifting?

Hello there,
Even though I flatter myself thinking that I know what I'm doing I still have A LOT of questions about exercise. Diet is a done deal.
Here it goes for today:
I do weight training every two days, full body workout with what seems very heavy weights to me. Push-ups, bench press, lunges and lateral lunges, glutes bridges, romanian dead lifts, squats, plank, some arms rows,
Up until now, I didn't do anything on rest days. Cause, you know, rest.
But I miss being challenged on some of those days.
So, my question is: can I from time to time do something like 30 Days Shred on rest days? If I don't use weight at all besides mine (granted, I'm heavy ;-)) it'd still be some kind of rest, no?
This video always seemed more cardio-related to me anyway.
I don't belong to a gym, I never run unless I'm chased by bears and I can't stay on a bike. My a** is to big and the seat hurts like hell. I'd need a car seat on that stuff to be ok. And I hate swimming pools, they're disgusting in Paris.
So I'm looking for any ideas/advices on how to move on so-called rest days. Any dance videos? Any fun cardio in and outdoor?
I already walk a lot.
Please, almighty fitness experts, source of all the wisdom that got me so far, I need more!!!
Thanks in advance for any answer.
Vanessa

Bump. Anyone?0

I have done that in the past. I typically use the 30DS as a filler in between weights. I would think you should still take a full rest day every so often though.0

Thanks for your answer. I'll always have full rest days. Sometimes, I just need a little bit more than what I currently do.0 -
I bet 30DS would be fine, even if you don't use weights. Or what about doing a different video that's solely focused on cardio, like a cardio kickboxing or dance/aerobics?0

It depends on what you want to accomplish. If you want to be able to lift harder and stronger, then heavy duty cardio is not a great idea in between lifting workouts. If you are just lifting to lift and like how it makes you feel but you don't care if you keep progressing with serious weights then you can do a serious cardio workout. I personally love lifting and want to get stronger but I also play field hockey which is an intense cardio workout twice a week...so I try to do very little on the other days - that means I get at least 2 days rest (lift 3 days, hockey 2 days). When I'm not in season (late spring and summer), I just do a short run on the 2 days.0

Perfect plan!! lift 3 days, dance cardio 2 days and rest 2 days, maybe light yoga once0
