Inch by Inch Challenge!

Hey everyone! I've been thinking of starting a challenge on here, and I came up with an idea last night for one I haven't seen yet.
The Inch by Inch Challenge! Everyone is so focused on the evil scale, but we forget how important measurements are too! I've been measuring myself once a month since I started on MFP and it's great to see progress with my measurements when the scale is moving veryyyyyy slowlyyyyy.
So here's the challenge. We'll all take our measurements this week as a starting point. Then set a goal for what we want to be in one month and keep checking in here each week to see our progress! We can keep the challenge going for each month if everyone wants. I like to keep track of mine monthly, since it's encouraging when I didn't lose a lot of weight that month.
So if you're interested, post your name and your measurements now, and your goal for one month from now! If you want to join but don't have access to take measurements right now, post and fill us in when you can.
So who is ready to focus less on the scale and more on what really matters, our shrinking waistline???
EXAMPLE (These are the things I measure every month, but feel free to choose whatever you want to measure. Just your waist and hips, or whatever you'd like)
Name: Sara
Measurements:
- Waist:
Current - 30.0", Goal: 28.5"
- Hips:
Current: 37.0", Goal: 35.5"
- Thigh:
Current: 22.5", Goal: 21.5"
- Calf: Current:
15.5", Goal: 14.5"
- Arm: Current:
11.5", Goal: 10.5"
- Bust:
Current: 36.5", Goal: 36" (I don't want them shrinking much more! haha)
- Abductors:
Current: 37.0", Goal: 36.0"
Total Inches I Want To Lose: 7.5"

I wish i had a tape measure... and i wish i had measured myself initially.
Stupid question... but where would be a good place to buy one?0 -

not a stupid question! i had the same question not too long ago. i picked mine up in a fabric store, or any fabric/craft section of a department store should have one!0 -
wow, im kinda surprised there aren't more replies to this, cause this is a really good idea! I've lost quite a few inches since I started my journey in early December (to the point where my fave jeans are falling off) but the scale still says i'm at my starting weight. Which is kind of ridiculous, so i've decided to disregard it entirely.
So, here's where I am vs. where i'd like to be by the end of February:
upper waist : 31.5, goal: 30in
thighs: 24, goal: 22.5
hips: 41.5, goal: 40
arms: 12.5, goal, 11.5
this is kind of a ball park estimate...we'll see how realistic this ends up being, lol. So i guess my grand total inch loss i'd like to see would be 7in.0
