Almost to the half-way mark of my transformation! I am 27, and 5'7" on a good day.
At my heaviest I was 268, April of 2013. I'd gained most of it due to depression after the end of a 4 year relationship, a move across the country, where I was faced with sudden homelessness and unemployment.
I've come a long way since then.
January 2014 I began making healthier choices and was on my way to restarting my life's ambitions.
I started logging faithfully MFP on June 1, at a weight of 253.
By August 1, I was down to 230.
This morning, October 1, I weighed in at 212. I'm down 41 lbs in 4 months! Most of this success stems directly from logging what I eat and making a choice to be more active. I no longer have weekend binges of Netflix, and instead go hiking, walking, shopping, anything that requires movement. It's the little things that count.
Take it one day at a time. Weight loss isn't a sprint, it's a marathon.
