Need of help and motivation

After my divorce a few years ago, I have put on quite a bit of weight. I would like to loose at least 50 pounds, so I can feel better and fit into clothes. I am very uncomfortable with my body in many ways. I have researched what to eat, when to eat, and how much to eat. I just need help with exercise tips and motivation. I am a full time student with a full time job and at nights I just want to relax and watch tv on the couch. I would love to be able to talk with people to help motivate me and give me tips. What motivated you and how has your life changed? How often do you exercise and what kind of exercise do you do?? What things do you eat and what foods do you stay away from??

I can't speak for anyone else but for me it just came down to a choice. I had to stop making excuses and just start doing something. It doesn't mean you have to change all at once. Baby step help motivate you to do more. I work full time and have 2 kids and I really don't like being this way anymore! I had to decide to start that was my first goal. Now my second is to keep track of my food everyday (even if it isn't good like today) and to exercise 4 days a week. That is MY goal you have to figure out what your first step is and start there. I don't think about the end goal it depresses me so I just think small and just keep saying I know I can I know I can. You can too! I have been divorced three times so i understand where your coming from. When I seperated from my husband I would take time out for me. Go to the park and walk and enjoy being outside. I would go to the mall and walk around and smell the candles. I would get me a cd that I wanted and took it home light some candles and take a bubble bath. Id buy me some new perfume and basically pamper myself. I would make myself feel like a woman again. Basically I focused on just me. I made myself enjoy life and take my life back with out worrying about any one else. I pampered my self with everything but food because I knew that would be a crutch for me. The more I did this the weight just came off. I would keep myself busy and out of the house. Go out with freinds and just have fun. Just wanted to let you know I have been there and understand but you have to make up your own mind that you are going to take your life back and not be a slave to anyone or anything including food.0

I'm a single parent of one child, work full time, split with my partner a year ago, I decided I needed to change my life for the better and really push myself to do something other then sit on the sofa & computer and eat, made an effort to see friends at the weekend even if it's just for a cuppa and chat and generally get out, it's great, lost 3st, although did put 11lbs back on at the start of winter but lost 8lbs now so back to feeling good about myself, and because I'm happier it seems to have improved my relationship with my daughter, which was always good, so good news all round ;-)
logging ALL food really helps and planning what to eat too!0 -
