Trying to help

Just wanted to let everyone know the difference between the word "lose" and the word "loose". I have read hundreds of posts and there seems to be a pretty common misuse of these words.
To use the word lose in a sentence: I want to lose 70 pounds by the end of this year.
To use the word loose in a sentence: My pants are now loose after losing 70 pounds.
I am probably not making any friends by putting this out there but I am doing this for the better of everyone.
