Dancing in the living room!

The past couple of weeks I have been doing p90x but a few times I have decided to skip and just crank up the sirius radio hip hop/rap station and dance like crazy with my kiddos in the living room! It is so much fun and 30 or 40 minutes will fly by in no time! Before I know it I'm sweating like crazy and my hrm says I have been burned 430 calories!!!

My question is kinda silly I suppose....

Is this kind of exercise just as good? It's almost too fun and easy to believe that I can burn so well doing it. Is my hrm (wrist) accurate? I take my hr very often so it will be??

I guess I just can't believe how fun 40 minutes of exercise can be!!! Any suggestions or advice would be great!
