Dancing in the living room!

The past couple of weeks I have been doing p90x but a few times I have decided to skip and just crank up the sirius radio hip hop/rap station and dance like crazy with my kiddos in the living room! It is so much fun and 30 or 40 minutes will fly by in no time! Before I know it I'm sweating like crazy and my hrm says I have been burned 430 calories!!!
My question is kinda silly I suppose....
Is this kind of exercise just as good? It's almost too fun and easy to believe that I can burn so well doing it. Is my hrm (wrist) accurate? I take my hr very often so it will be??
I guess I just can't believe how fun 40 minutes of exercise can be!!! Any suggestions or advice would be great!

if you're moving and sweating, it's good exercise! Sounds like you enjoyed it too which is great because you'll end up doing it more.0

If you like that kind of thing i would suggest zumba dancing, i do it at home all the time from videos online and dvds. Heres some of my favorite links...

They also offer classes for this at some places and in one hour i easily burn at least 600 calories0 -
Sounds good to me!! I would also suggest Zumba! I take classes & love it! I like turning up the music & dancing with the kids. We have a great time & it gets me moving!0
