Does anyone use Designer Whey Protein Biggest Loser powder?? If so when do you take it?? I'm finding it hard to get alot of protein & eat all my calories so my brother suggested this stuff because it helps build muscle & we all know muscle burns fat.

I was thinking of having it as breakfast blended with skim milk, banana & ice. But I also wanted to know will this help with weight loss or make me gain weight??

  • I've never heard of that kind before, but I use whey protein, too. I take it directly after my workout, because that's when your muscles crave the protein the most, to help heal them faster so you can build more of it.

I have a protein shake every morning as my breakfast. I blend the powder w/ a cup of skim milk, ice, a spoonful of peanut butter, and a couple tablespoons of dry rolled oats.

I like to drink my protein shake or creatine (whichever I have on hand) after my workout.

I add it to shakes after workouts usually. My buddy added it to his daily breakfast shake, and he lost 200 lbs.
    Good luck with weight loss.

I have used that brand before and it was OK. My favorite is called Sci-Fit whey, but it's hard to find. I drink a scoop with water after my workouts.

I've used Designer Whey powder in the past (not biggest loser brand, but same company). I'd make a post-workout protein shake with my dinner. I'd blend up a scoop of powder, a cup of soy milk, and some frozen fruits, sometimes I'd add greek yogurt in. It was a good way to get lots of protein in at once. Chocolate and strawberry are both tasty. It also makes for a good breakfast by itself.

And you won't gain weight from it, it actually helped me to lose weight.

I use whey protein, createin, and nitrous oxide.

The whey and createin are muscle builders, and there are differing opinions on when is best to take them. Personally, an hour or so before a workout works best for me. The whey gives me stomach cramps if I take it early in the morning or, after a workout.

Most whey protein powders are the same so you don't need to shell out at on of money for a name brand "Biggest Loser" powder. I buy Clif Builder bars which have both whey and soy proteins in them, 20g of protein per bar.
  • I tried the Designer Whey and I didn't care for the taste. The best tasting protein shake that I have ever had is Max Protein by SEI Pharmaceutics. The chocolate version tasted like a Wendy's Frosty! No lie! The only drawback is the price. You can order it online at https://www.seipharmaceuticals.com/ or I think they sell it at GNC. It is truly yummy, I just can't afford it.

Don't know about the brand, but definitely get some whey protein. Don't get it in stores though because you'll end up paying about twice the amount. (No kidding I've seen ON Whey 5lbs tub at $75 on gnc when I've bought it at $45)
Sometimes I drink 2 or 3 protein shakes a day because I find it hard to get protein from whole foods. It is recommended that you have it with milk.
Otherwise have 1 as soon as you wake up and one after exercise.

I've used designer whey before, never the biggest loser kind but I bet it's the same or similar. Whey protein powder is a great way to get protein and help you lose weight. I have a shake after I work out, sometimes for snack, or for a fast portable breakfast.

I make mine with skim milk, nonfat plain greek yogurt, berries, and ice. Delish!

I also drink my protein shake after my workout like the previous posters. I like to drink them to add protein to my diet as well.

I use "Optimum Nutrition" Brand. They have tons of flavors. I've tried Mint Chocoalte, Double Rich Chocoalte, Caramel Toffee fudge and Mocha Cappccino. So, far all are quite tasty. :)
