Hey everyone! So what's your take on biggest loser? Is it your motivation or do u think it's inhumane?
Which person or people are you rooting for? Which team do u dislike most and why?

HMMMM, not sure--- it's horrible but- I feel so much better about myself after watching!0
-
I hate it because of the imprecision they use to calculate who wins.0
-
I don't watch the show, but I have the Biggest Loser for Wii and I LOVE it!0
-
I'm kind of on the fence- my fave person is Courtney of the blue team- how cute is she! Can't stand the yellow team they act like such know it alls and I feel bad for the red team for pulling such great weight loss and the yellow team attacked them!! If you notice the yellow team had actually lost the lowest percentage and they were immune0

I love it!!!0

I love the show, but hate the game play aspect. I hated last seasons winner cause he stabbed someone in the back. And that person came back with a much higher % lost, they should have one it all. I love that it tell everyone that its possible to lose the weight without surgery. I know they're regime is not realistic, but it is within the realm of the possible.0

I love it! It's one of the best motivators of my week! I keep telling myself if the people that weigh that much can do it, so can I!0
-
I love, love it! It is motivating for me. They give everything they have each week to be healthier. It is a great show! My favorites are of course, light Blue team and Green team. I kind of feel bad for the unknowns because we haven't gotten to know them as much as Bob and Jillians team. Anyway, BIG FAN!!0

I love it!!!
Me too!0 -
Love the show and I have watched it from the begining!! I am not crazy about any one contestant but I know that Red team should still be on!! It is a a great motivator for me!!0

I love it, but hate the game playing and backstabbing. I'm participating in a "Biggest Loser" competition at work. 4 weeks in,
and so far so good. There are prizes associated with the three biggest losers, but I'm really only doing this to help me meet my personal goal.0 -
I watch it every week! I love to see the weight losses every week! It's on the day before my weigh in so it's a great motivator!0
-
I love the show! It is a great motivating show, but the reality is they work out alot!0
-
I really look forward to it, it keeps me motivated. I hope they all succeed and we do too!0

I Like the show as a SHOW..its entertainment that does change some people's lives...i DID like Arthur until this evening! OMG....I think I am going to root for Brittney or Moses...
But it also keeps me motivated...if anything, it gives people hope. It's real..people really do lose weight (even if it's in large amounts at one time..blah blah...) People do drop pounds..and prove that anyone can do it...0 -
Hate it--but mostly because I hate all "reality tv."
I don't like the manipulative aspect, and I thin it speaks very poorly of us as a society that we feed on that kind of stuff greedily and with no shame--like the Romans watched slaves-cum-gladiators or Christians being thrown to the lions.0 -

not motivating in anyway
but good reality tv show. that's all it is.
people who think they are healthy should really think again.0 -

many of them don't keep all the weight off. some gain it all back. some gain half back. majority gain a good 20 to 30 pounds once the show is over. you can tell from seeing them on the finale and then seeing them next season during the marathon episode0 -
LOVE it!!!! What Arthur did tonight just made me dislike him even more. His dad is alright though.0

I like to watch it and use it as a motivation tool, but I do think can give unrealistic expectations to people who are looking for a "quick fix". I don't know what the American version is like, but the Australian version last season had cooking segments that showed how to cook meals healthier and segments showing some exercises people can do at home, I really liked that because these are realistic tools people can use at home. I don't really like the game/strategy part, but in the end, it is "reality" tv!!0

I love the show. I like to steal ideas for my workouts!
I hate Courtney. She pisses me right off. I love the green team! And Arther. Even after what he did tonight.0 -

US version does have some stuff on cooking. Usually when commercials come there is a quick clip of Julian telling people what they can do at home during the commercial.0 -
I don't care for it anymore.
It just doesn't seem realistic to me - who gets a free personal trainer and all of their healthy meals made for them? People in the real world have to balance work, family, exercise, housework, etc.
I'm happy for the people on the show that do lose weight and get healthy but I just can't relate.0 -

I agree a thousand percent! I used to watch it, but it is so unrealistic. I mean, if the only way those people could lose the weight was to be in a tiny tiny minority that made it onto the show, then what does that say for everyone else? Plus, I always get pissed when the contestants say "If I can do it, anyone can do it." Bull crap! They had to go on a competition with trainers, specialized training and exercise, exile from "the real world," and special treatment before they could do it. Not "anyone" can get all those special perks! I don't watch anymore, and I LOVE reality tv, but it just depresses me. I'm happy for the people whose lives are changed, but I'm not gonna sit around and hope I'll get picked for that show so I can lose weight. I'm going to take my life in my own hands. If I can do, then I CAN do it!0 -
last night was so annoying. i wish they wouldve voted off rulon...also dumb move by arthur to switch off the green team i feel bad that the red team is so closed minded "we protect our family'-ugh0
-
love love love.
don't like the red team. They're so divisive and really making this such an us v. them when they should be encouraging each other.
(( and by red team i mean the "unknowns"))0 -
I don't watch it. I should preface that with the fact that I don't watch a love of TV in general however but..even if I did- I wouldn't watch it. I just can't stand False Reality TV. I know those people are going through genuine struggles and I perceive that a lot of people would see it as a service to the public in a sense to be exposed to the emotional upheavals that lead a person to severe obesity and how difficult it can be to get back to health. What I cannot personally admire, is that it's dragged out in front of us for entertainment value. Idk- I'm just disgusted. I'm not disgusted with the obesity per se, but rather the whole circus. But I completely understand the 'benefits' in terms of inspiration and hope for some. Just not my cup of tea.0

ugh i can't stand rulon
ad wtf at bringing him on in the first place. i'm sure he has the money to hire a personal trainer at home and that team should not be there. it should have been someone who needs it more.0 -
I hate it0
