Drawing stuff like this was how I spent most of high school.
I looked like this
(ok this first one is just to show I really varied in weight throughout HS)
My friends looked like this
Anyone else having a hard time being an adult when they had so much fun being one of those kids? Anyone else also still looking like that every so often (ok maybe more than every so often)?
I plan on strutting around in my knee high goth boots and fishnets when I get to my goal weight, I admit it.
I just need some people to relate to on this one!

hahah I love this... well... if you need an excuse to wear fishnets and platforms... and you like techno, go to a rave ... Tutus, fishnets and platforms are a must ;-) whatever you feel sexiest in, rock it!0

omg i just relized the picture of me at 13 was 20 years ago!!!!!~
at the same time I still remember my parents always saying id grow out of it lol0 -
AHHHH! you posted JTHM, my most favorite comic of all time by the best artist! I even have a Devi tattoo that I got when I was 18 and am still proud of it. I STILL shop at HotTopic, and I was totally one of 'those' kids. Yes, I miss it. Yes, I still do wear a lot of black sometimes, but I forced myself out of it. Something about always having to look like a girl for work made me realize that I had to start dressing like a girl in what society called 'normal' clothes lol
But I totally feel you. When I reach my goal weight, I am putting on that really cute HotTopic skirt I have in my dresser with the fishnets and knee high boots. Why? Because I can, and because I know I will look and feel good in it. Everything that got too small for me since my weight gain I have not thrown out or given away, I wont allow it. So I will wait for the day when I can wear them again lol.0 -

I know the feeling. this was meed a few years back enjoying Bats Day ( Its the gothic invation of Disneyland )
Now an adult working and office job i find myself in more buisness casual at work and yoga pants at the house. Not to mention i was 105 lbs back then and I am NOOO where near that now.
My goal is to loss the lbs, get some new cloths and ones again strap on my knee high boots and hit the town.
As a gift to myself when i loss the weight i plan to get a Bat wing tattoo down my back as Bat is my initials.0 -

Thank you, i was trying and failing. Bats Day is SOOO much fun, even now that i dont really feel all that goth, as its not a good look on me the size i am, i still go. Look them up online, i think this year is May. I unfortunelty wont make it as we are doing a family trip to, ironicly, Disneyworld that weekend.0 -

I still have the same pair of boots i was wearing in my photo, they were given to me by my mother for my 15th birthday. Now 10 years later, and WORN every day thru Highschool they are still in great shape and i look forward to being able to get my fat calves back into them. Almost there!! i only have to remove 2 rows or laces at the top rather then the 5 i did a year ago. HEHEH.
I still have alot of my stuff, and still get more, they are a motivator for me to get off my couch and do soemthing.0 -
Haha, I didn't know so many people went through this stage. I definitely still love Hot Topic, but I don't dress like this anymore. I still have a really sweet black jacket laced all the way up the side of the sleeves and back of it. I mean, I still have my lip pierced, and I still dye my hair crazy colors, but I don't get all gothed out.0

I LOVE Hot Topic! I like to goth/emo it up sometimes, but I will admit I'm a total wannabe only, lol.0

I got these really cute knee high boots from Marshal's that I can just not fit into without feeling like I am squeezing my calf into them lol. But I wish I could upload a pic of my grad class of HS in 2006. You could see where all my friends were....There is a whole bunch of color throughout the entire pic until the left side. That's where we were and it is just one giant black mass of people lol. It's pretty funny since we didnt plan it that way, it just kind of happened.0

Im just really glad to see so many others with me on this!!
I feel like I should go to my parents house and get my yearbooks and scan some pictures lol0 -
man i dont really have anymore pictures and that sucks.i lost everything a few years back all my pictures everything gone0
-
oh wow im sorry to hear that, my old pics are one of my fave things0

I'm 46 years old and still dye my hair blood red and black. Lucky for me tattoos and black nail polish are pretty mainstream now. I try to dress "appropriately" for my age, but it seems like my inner rock star always peeks out somehow! My 25 year old cousin lost tons of weight last year and she sent me all her old clothes - goth/emo/Hot Topic stuff. SCORE!!! I guess I'm just hopeless and will never "grow up"... ::sighs::0
