Motivational Quotes For Tattoo

Been trying to get my wife to get her first tattoo. One right below the navel, at the bikini line, that reads:
"If you can read this, you better start looking over your shoulder for Road Dog!"0 -
I'd like a tattoo but I hear they hurt ;-)

Oh, but the longing for a new tattoo....I'm close to my next one. It is hard waiting for it. But, the best advice I ever heard was from a tattoo artist who said, "The best tattoo artist only uncovers something that was already there." That is how I felt with all my tattoos. I have two partial quotes (because of precisely what Daisy89 said! Ow) and they are "I hope you dance..." and "even if we risk going to hell" I'm pretty sure that I have picks of them in my pictures in fact!
Good luck and be sure to post a pic when you get it!0 -
I have a tattoo on the top of my food that reads "Stand your ground, Stand up when its all crashing down."
The "Stand your ground" part is written in the cross beam of a cross with a crown of thorns at the top and the rest is written in cursive at the bottom of my foot. Its symbolic for everything that you could go through in life. The good, the bad and the ugly. I am a religious person, however, not all the time. And my tattoo helps me remember everything good that comes out of the bad, whether its from coincidence or something even better. I plan on adding too it still, so far I have added three nails and a dove but it just doesnt look finished yet. The quote is from the band Superchick, which is a religious group. It got me through a lot of hard times in college and I look forward to it getting me through whatever else I happen to face. Motivational quote tattoos are my favorite, especially when you get them for YOURSELF, not anyone else. Because then they mean something to you. And thats all that matters. :bigsmile:0 -

It is actually a twist on the words from a song, Protest by Skinny Puppy. I find meaning in them0 -
I don't know why I didn't even think about the one in my signature. Maybe I see it so often I forgot about it.
I really like your quote!0 -
"Shoot for the moon; even if you miss, you'll land among the stars".
Love it!0 -
Even better than a quote have the 3 numbers of your original weight put somewhere on your body that you can see that will be a forever reminder!!0

As Thomas Edison so rightly put it, "Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up."0

I have a feeling i'll get that tattoo one day, but I have a lot of ideas of tattoos haha and i should focus on finishing the one i'm having worked on before starting a new piece.0 -
This basically the winged sandal that I want as part of the tattoo.

I've loved this one since I first saw it...
Edit: I just noticed how old this thread is... I hope she got a cool tattoo!!0 -
I actually had a set back and haven't gotten the tattoo yet.
I still have the goal of a tattoo but it the design has change because I lost my mom to cancer in the last year and want one to honor her.
It is going to be a faceless angel from one of her quilts with a purple ribbon behind it.0 -
I got a quote tattooed on my left side.. it's from Socrates, "It is a shame for a woman to grow old without ever seeing the strength and beauty of which her body is capable"
I think it fits.
ETA: I didn't notice how old the thread was either! I think the tattoo to honor your mom is a great idea! :flowerforyou:0 -
