Japanese Rock Music (aka J-rock )

Ok. I keep seeing topics about music. So I decided to post a topic on my absolutely favorite kind of music. Japanese Rock and Pop music.
This is one of my beloved obsessions in life. Low calorie and it keeps me motivated. J-rock is growing in this country. A quiet revolution in music. Last year a band called Dir en Grey opened for the Deftones. This year they are touring on their own. I can't wait to see them in Seattle this December. :flowerforyou:
My husband says that I am a J-rock plague carrier and I must past it on to others. That is pretty much true. I love it and want to share the love. But in my defense I have been on this site for almost two months now and am only just now starting this topic. I think that I was very restrained.
J-rock pulls a lot from 80's music while being distinctly their own. Their men are beautiful and liable to make your significant other uncomfortable. (My husband is very understanding. lol) They are often mistaken for girl, but very pretty girls. The girls are impossibly cute.
Don't worry about understanding the lyrics, just open up to the music and listen with your heart.
Here are some videos on youtube of some of my favorite bands.
Miyavi - He is the hyperactive guitar genius of J-rock.

L'arc en Ciel - One of the most popular bands in Japan
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYpGlk1XRi8
Dir en Grey - they are a hard rock band
with subtitles

and my very favorite gets two videos. (hmm.. I wonder if anyone is going to get this far)
Gackt - very popular and eccentric rock star
serious song with subtitles

peppy song with subtitles

Oh, there are so many others that I could keep doing this all day. Which it would since I keep listening to all the videos as I am putting them up.
Don't know if anyone will be interested. But I had to express myself. :drinker:
