Love Handle Help

What is the best way to get rid of the fat that rest on your hips and causes the dreaded muffin top. I have a flat stomach, just need to get rid of a few inches on my sides. Is vigorous cardio the best to burn off the fat or doing target exercises like side bends. A mix of both? I have gotten mixed answers from personal trainers and any advice would be great.

You can't spot reduce. Cardio is the only way to burn fat....of course building muscle will help you burn fat quicker, so it's not a bad idea to do stomach exercises as well, but that just means you'll be building your muscles under the fat, but you need cardio to actually burn it.0

I'd do side exercises and cardio. I'm wanting to keep a smaller version of my love-handles but lose the rest of my stomach. I'd like to have abs one day! :laugh:0
