Nike + ipod alternative

Does anybody have an alternative to the Nike + ipod and is it any good?

I have seen a similar thing from philips but it is an MP3 player in its own right.

    I love my Nike+ ipod and use it all the time so can't really recommend anything else. Are you looking for an alternative because its so expensive for the trainers? Do you know you can buy a little pouch to put the sensor in (and they are really cheap) - then you can use it with any trainers. This is what I do and it works brilliantly. If you need any more info let me know.:smile:

    I can get the sensor and laces off ebay relatively cheaply I was just wondering if there was an alternative. I saw that you could get a heart rate monitor and use that with it. Also if possible I don't like buying from big conglomerates because a lot of the time they don't have very good ethical practices..
