Other than calorie counting whats everyone else doing to lose weight? I read how people have lost 40lb etc but i feel like iv lost nothing, My weight is just fluctuating all the time.
Can someone give me some tips on what sort of things i should be doing and how many times a week? i currently work in an office and sit on my bum all day so when i get home its the only chance i get to do any workouts. I have a treadmill which i like to use but how effective is just brisk walking and when will i actually start seeing some results?

You may need to add some strength training. Muscles burn more calories at rest than fat does...so it makes sense that working the muscles helps. Strenth training can be done at home. I use resistance bands and do yoga and walk 3-4 times per week. The combination of workouts means that your body is burning more at rest, than doing without. Hope this helps and good luck!0

Mine has been a balance between watching calories (keeping between 1200min and my personal max of 1340) and exercising (at least 20min/night).
Friend me and you can see my food and exercise diary.
**Edited max cal with new number as of today**0 -
For me, working out is key. Brisk walking is fine, but brisk walking on an incline is better. Get out of breath, get sweaty and really work out.
Losing weight depends on how much you have to lose, too. And how many calories you're cutting. And, you can fluctuate but at some point you should begin to fluctuate downward more than upward if your calories out are more than your calories in.
There are lots of folks here who are really making mpf work for them. Make your food diary public and have them look over it. maybe you're eating too many refined foods, not enough food, or too much food.0 -
Oh, and lots of water!!0

I will tell you what has worked for me. Eat whole grain, lean meat, brown rice, wheat pasta, fruits and veggies. Stay away from anything with high fructose corn syrup and anything white (white flower, white rice, white bread, white pasta). Stay away from the sugar. Sugar is so bad for you. I also drink 1 cup of green tea at breakfast and 1 cup at Lunch. I also never go over my calorie allowance that myfitnesspal tells me. I usually have a good 300-500 calories remaining every night. I don't eat up the calories I burned excercising. Kinda feels pointless.
I work all day in an office as well and my excercise is walking the treadmil for 40 minutes every day. I recently just bought the zumba for Wii. That's a good workout as well. Good luck!!

Way too little info to help you out.
How much weight do you have to lose? The more you have, the quicker you lose. If you have relatively little, it'll be slow no matter what you do, but it will come off.
If you make your diary public, some will give you advice on minor tweaks you may be able to do to eat cleaner. Are you logging everyday? I find just one day of "letting it all go" during the week really stalls my weight loss.
Brisk walking is fantastic for your health and for weight loss. Sure, you burn more calories jogging or running in the same amount of time, but would you like it? You won't stick with something you don't like. So, if you like brisk walking, by all means, keep doing it!!!!0 -
