Water weight but not the bad weight. When you say weight I assume you really mean fat. Drinking enough water is important to your body and "weight" loss and should not be overlooked. If you drink really cold water you will burn a few extra calories as your body warms it up.0

I actually started drinking water yesterday... making sure that I have 6-8 8oz glasses and I have noticed a large decrease in my water weight! I am really surprised. I had the same fear. Truth is, I feel much better. And, yes, it is very important! I would recommend, however, sodium control unless you have a health issue that warrants the sodium intake.0

It might make a short-lived small gain, but don't worry about it, the #s on the scale can't alone give you the whole picture. You might notice a drop too though since water flushes out sodium, which causes water retention. Long run it will help you lose weight.
Also, until your body figures it out, you might have to pee a ton.0 -
Water flushes out the salt in your body (and other things). It allows your blood to flow better, and helps your liver/kidney function!
It won't make you gain weight.0 -
Without adequate water, your muscles and tissue have a hard time recovering after exercise. You also need water to flush out all of the toxins from your body be stay healthy.
Don't ever skip the H2O!0 -

LOL yea you will make many toilet trips to begin with but as you adjust it does get better fortunately0 -
You aren't thirsty because your body has become accustomed to being dehydrated. As you start drinking and become more hydrated, this extra water in your body will show up on the scale, but ignore the number on the scale for a little while. Drinking water will help you lose weight in the long run, and you will start being thirsty again once your body gets used to more water going in.0

Drinking lots of water also helps flush out toxins and bad stuff in your system. I've also been told it can help lessen sore muscles.0

It absolutely IS hard at first. It does get easier, though.0
