Fluidity Bar

I saw the infomercial on the Fludity Bar and I'm tempted to buy it! It looks interesting and fun...I'd want to add this to my current workout plan. Has anyone tried it and have any kind of feedback to share??? :happy:

    the whole reason why i came here was to find out about it, and then i became a little part of the team....

    well, i've heard lots of different things. some gals say it's great and they have wonderful results.

    other people say that you can just use a sturdy chair and get the same results. But then, some people complain about the product itself, saying that the mat has a distinctly chemical smell that never goes away, others say the box is usually damaged when they get the bar, and then others complain that the videos aren't challenging enough or the instructor on the video is annoying.

    i'm definitely going to get the bar at some point, and you can also get it on e-bay, so i'd look there if you're interested.

  • Hi, I bought the fluidity bar last year after I had my baby. It's extremely heavy and you really need to have a place to store it near where you will be using it or have it set up all the time. Mine thankfully fits behind the couch so that it doesn't fall over on my little one, but still close enough to where I set it up. I've only ever been able to do the beginner video. I don't use it like I should because it takes long to set up and my baby doesn't nap as long as he used to. The beginner dvd is 30 mins and then they go longer when you get to intermediate and advanced. There are some moves on the beginner dvd that really work your stomach muscles and it's a hard move to do. I used to dance and thought it would be a great investment, but I find that it sits behind my couch more than it is out being used. IF you use it the 3x/week that is required then yes I think it would help with toning, but certainly you would still need some form of cardio too in the week. Hope this helps. :happy:

    Tried it! My son got it for his girlfriend (who begged for the dern thing).

    My oldest daughter borrowed it. Now keep in mind she's 17, a ballerina, does pilates REGULARLY on top of ballet 3X/week and is in amazing shape. Kicked her butt hard. She found many of the moves very difficult.

    So, I thought I would get an objective opinion *sighs*. Yes that means my own. I was running 6 miles a day, lifting weights 3-4 times a week, and in my trainers words "very flexible"..... It kicked my butt... (NOT in a good way)

    I'd have to say that unless you are within 30 pounds or so of your goal weight, don't order it... I think it really is designed for someone who is closer to goal and/or just needs some tone-ups! I think my oldest daughter would have stuck with it if it was hers, but she said she'd probably use the bar more for ballet than anything else.....

    I heard mix results, so I decided not to get it.
    It looked like a good concept but the last thing I need is more bulky equipment.
  • I bought one and I absolutely love it :love: !! It is a tough workout, more because you are using your own body to do the exercises. After a week, I could tell my arms and legs (even my abs!) were more toned. I would have to admit that the damn thing weighs too much :grumble: but I make that apart of the whole workout. I'm on the advanced, and it only takes about 30 minutes. I tried using a chair instead, and didn't get the same results....the chair kept moving and you can't do the pull ups on it. GOOD LUCK!! :wink:

    I may be wrong but I just went to the web site for that product and if it is soooo amazing why are they selling suppliment??? Most people realise that "suppliments" like hydroxy anything and stacker anything is a load of crap -- a gimick to make you buy and try -- and fail! so if any piece of exercise equipment offers bogus supliments on the website then isn't that a clue that it's going to stink? Real supplements are for the people who are not getting proper nutrients when eating not extra crap to make you hope and fail at losing weight. my opinion- but I wouldn't spend the money
