    I haven't taken any of the challenges before. However, my weight sort of plateaud over Christmas :tongue: (at least I didn't gain any:wink: ) So here I am checking in:

    Start: November/07 -- 157
    Current: January/08 -- 143

    Valentine's Goal: -- 135
    Overall goal: -- 120

    My birthday is February 18 so if I keep on track and reach my goal I'm going to buy myself an extra bday present!:bigsmile: (plus I'll let my husband take me out to dinner)

    I'm just sicker than a dog and have been for about a week. My exercise has been posting! I guess I will make up for it when I am back in the saddle again.

    I'm thrilled by everyone elses success and it is motivating me for whenever I can get going.:smile:

    Hi everyone,
    I went to a hockey game and out to a bar with my husband and a couple of friends and of course the beer and junk food was all around. I drank water the whole night and did not eat any of the food. For the first time I forcused on my friends (not what I was eatting) and I danced all night long (burned a lot of calories). This morning I feel great. I wanted to see what i weighted today but, thought I should wait (my day is on thurs.) .
    I love this site. I am going to lose this weight and this time for good.

    Just wanted to update you on my day. I was afraid because I had such a good night last night and today I had a baby shower to go to. I was drawn to the table with the white cake and chocolate chip cookies and chips and you name it it was there. I walked away I did it. I had an orange before I left the house and I was not hungery and I know I didn't need the cookies and I didn't. I walked away. I thought of everyone I had seen on this website and I tought I can do this.

    It is amazing what a little PMS will do for water retention...I was 167 on saturday. I expect a bigger drop by next week. Good luck everyone.
  • I have been out of town for a late Christmas with my family. So I am checking in for the 2nd week now.

    The first week I lost 1 lonely pound.
    The second week I lost 2 pounds for a total of 3 lbs lost in 2 weeks.

    I have 12 lbs to go before Valentines day.

    Starting weight was 200 lbs
    so now I weigh 197

    Today's weight (1/14/08) 204 for a total loss of 3 lbs!!!!

    Goal by V-day = 199 lbs - Five to go, hope I can do it.

    Well done to everyone your all doing really well..


    Today was my first weigh in after a week..........started at 192lb today weighed in at 189ilbs

    So a grand 3 lbs im very pleased with that.


    Been sticking to calorie count pretty much and have met my fitness challenge for the week also..

    The grand plan is a pound a week for 40 weeks ...so its all good so far..

    Target for valentines would be total of 5lbs so looking good

    Today was my weigh day.

    1/7 - 171.4
    1/14 - 169.0

    2.4 lbs lost last week. Not too bad considering my ho-hum enthusiasm lately. Only 9-10 lbs left before
    VDay which is doable. I really need to get excited again and step it up because I am dreading the inevitable plateau and wondering when it will happen.

    *Can I just say how much I miss cheddar cheese?? That is really the only thing I would gorge myself on if it became calorie and cholesterol less!!

    I have changed my weigh in date for Tuesday instead of Thursday for two reasons.
    1) My husband leaves today for a month and I want to see how much I can lose by the time he gets back.
    2) I just wanted to see how much I lost.

    So when I started on Thursday the 10th I weighed 150
    Today Tuesday the 15th I weigh 147.
    3 lbs down yes. I can't belive it!

    I'm new to the site but thought it would be good to join in this V-day challenge. Let's see how this goes...

    Starting weight 1/15 - 143

    Goal for 2/14 - 135

    I've only been using the calorie counter for two days, I'm close but I can't seem to keep it under the 1200 that they recomend. I guess it takes practice. Next week when I can get back to the gym it will be easier. Lots of patience...:happy:

  • Hi everyone. I joined MFP on 1-8-08. ( I began sticking to diet and exercise then).
    I weighed this morning, and I have lost a total of 2 pounds.

    My starting weight was 152 pounds.
    I weighed 150 pounds today.
    My goal for Valentine's day is to weigh 140.:flowerforyou:
